The Milwaukee Bucks will visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday, and we will analyze the top player props for both teams based on the latest NBA odds.

The Milwaukee Bucks dominated the New Orleans Pelicans in their previous matchup this season, winning by 34 points on Jan. 27. The Pelicans will look to turn the tables in their upcoming game on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on NBA TV, taking place at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

In that game, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30 points, with Damian Lillard and Brook Lopez contributing 26 and 24 points, respectively. Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 26 points, but he will be absent from Thursday’s game. As a result, the lines for several Pelicans players are set higher than usual. Bettors should consider which of these totals offers the most value.

Bucks vs. Pelicans predictions

Bet365 has Trey Murphy III to score under 20.5 points + assists at -115 odds, which is a three-star rating.

Murphy was absent in the previous match between the two teams, making it difficult to predict his performance against the Bucks on Thursday. The number set for him is four points higher than his usual season average in these categories, but there hasn’t been any notable improvement in his recent performances to suggest an increase in production.

In four of his last five games, the forward has failed to surpass this number, only exceeding it once. In that game, he scored 21 points but did not record any assists. It is possible that sportsbooks are anticipating him to step up in the absence of Ingram, but this number seems too inflated even considering that possibility.

Bet365 offers the best price for under 20.5. FanDuel is offering -102 for under 19.5, which may be tempting, but we recommend choosing the highest number at the best price available.

Damian Lillard is predicted to score over 23.5 points, with odds of -105 on BetMGM. This is a three-star bet.

Lillard has scored over 27 points in four of his last five games and scored 26 against the Pelicans in their last meeting. Despite averaging 24.5 points per game, the betting line is set at just 23.5.

The Pelicans have a strong defensive record, only allowing an average of 110.5 points per game. However, they did give up 141 points to the Bucks in a previous matchup. Despite Damian Lillard performing slightly worse on the road compared to playing at home, he still manages to average 23.4 points per game. In his most recent road game against the Celtics, he scored an impressive 32 points.

The cost of this prop bet varies between -105 and -115 at our top sports betting sites. While the difference is small, it’s important to compare prices and find the best deal possible.

Herbert Jones to make less than 1.5 3-pointers (-120 odds on bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Jones has made two 3-pointers in consecutive games, but his average in March is still only 1.4 made per game. In the previous game against the Bucks in 2023-24, Jones was only 1-of-4 shooting from deep.

Although this game is taking place in New Orleans, Jones has a lower shooting percentage at home compared to when he plays on the road. In road games, he is shooting 45.9% from deep, but in home games, he is only shooting 38.7%. Additionally, his average made threes decrease from 1.6 on the road to 1.3 at home.

Despite the tempting price, the Under is the better choice in this situation. All signs indicate that Jones will only make one 3-pointer. While it would be preferable to have better odds than -120, this bet is still worth making.
