After parting ways with the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick is now exploring his next team options. However, with available openings closing quickly, the legendary coach may be running out of opportunities. We are checking his odds with one of our top sports betting apps.

At one time, it was unimaginable to think of Bill Belichick as a head coach anywhere other than in New England. He has achieved remarkable success in the region, winning six Super Bowls, appearing in nine, and securing an impressive 17 division titles.

However, the Patriots’ success declined rapidly following Tom Brady’s departure, with the team only making the playoffs once in 2021. In the past four seasons, they have missed the postseason three times, and in 2026, they hit rock bottom with a dismal 3-14 record.

Recently, there was speculation that Belichick would become the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, with odds as low as -400 in favor of this outcome. However, Atlanta decided to bring back Raheem Morris as head coach instead, limiting Belichick’s potential opportunities if he is interested in coaching next season.

It’s worth noting that out of the three teams listed in the table above that could potentially hire Belichick as their head coach, only one has an opening after the 2026-24 NFL regular season.

It is unlikely that the Washington Commanders would fire Ron Rivera only to hire an older, more defensive-minded head coach.

Belichick may potentially secure a football operations or advisory position, but his disappointing track record in the NFL draft does not bode well for his chances.

This market could be reconsidered after the 2026-25 season, should Belichick continue to pursue Don Shula’s record of 347 NFL wins.
