Week 3 in the NFL is a crucial moment where the outcomes can greatly impact teams. The difference between starting 3-0 and falling to 0-3 is significant, with nine teams looking to maintain a perfect record and erase any doubts after starting 2-0. On the other hand, an equal number of teams are at risk of dropping to 0-3, making this week a pivotal point in the season for many franchises.
The week started with a lopsided game on Thursday Night Football, as the San Francisco 49ers took on the New York Giants. This marked the start of the third week of the NFL season. The week will end with a Monday Night Football doubleheader, with the Philadelphia Eagles playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Rams facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals. These games are the second-to-last full set of matchups before teams start their bye weeks in Week 5.
As of Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers are still the top choice for bettors to win the Super Bowl, following their victory over the Giants to become the first team to reach a 3-0 record.
