Wisconsin betting apps
Currently, the only mobile sports betting option in Wisconsin is provided by the Oneida Tribe through its exclusive sportsbook app. This app can only be used by players on tribal lands at affiliated betting locations.
However, considering that all of the state’s tribal casinos are also qualified to provide legal sports betting, it is probable that multiple high-quality sports betting operators will soon be available for selection. Once this becomes a reality, we will compile a list of the best options here.
Wisconsin promos and bonuses
If mobile sports betting is expanded in Wisconsin, it will bring a wide range of bonuses and offers for those placing bets within the state. We recommend taking full advantage of these bonuses and offers, as they often result in real cash being added to sports bettors’ accounts with minimal playthrough requirements.

Wisconsin legal sports betting history
Whether a state’s efforts to legalize sports betting succeed or fail often hinges on the governor’s stance on gambling.
Wisconsin is fortunate to have Governor Tony Evers as a champion for sports betting in the state. Evers made it a priority to sign new gaming compacts with the state’s 11 tribes, and his efforts paid off in the summer of 2021. With these new agreements in place, Evers has paved the way for expanded sports betting in the near future.
Let’s take a closer look at the history of sports betting in Wisconsin:
2021: Evers, Tribes Agree to Compacts
Two years into his term, Evers began making strides towards fulfilling his objective of reaching agreements with the state’s 11 federally recognized tribes for new compacts. These agreements would permit each tribe to provide retail and online sports betting, under the condition that all bets are placed solely within their tribal lands.
Evers’ dream came true on July 1 when he successfully negotiated new compacts with all 11 tribes, granting them the ability to offer sports wagering at their own pace. The Oneida Tribe surprised everyone by announcing their plans to launch legal sports betting in less than two weeks, just in time for the NFL season.
However, despite receiving approval to offer sports betting, the Oneidas faced numerous delays and were unable to begin accepting bets until November 30th.
2022: Oneida Launches Mobile App
In February, two significant events occurred in Wisconsin’s sports betting scene.
On February 14, Betway solidified a partnership agreement with the Milwaukee Bucks, making them the official gaming partner of the 2021 NBA champions. This deal marked the latest basketball partnership for the sportsbook, which has also collaborated with teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks.
One week after its launch, Oneida Casino introduced its sportsbook app, making it the sole operator to provide mobile wagering services. The Oneida deal is considered a model for other tribes in the state, hinting at an imminent increase in online betting offerings.
Responsible Gaming in Wisconsin
Wisconsin, like many other states, has implemented protective measures to provide bettors with an exit strategy in case of any potential issues.
The Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling serves as the primary support system for players in need of assistance in the state. The website offers a wealth of resources such as counseling information, anonymous surveys, self-assessment tools, videos, and more.

Wisconsin teams to bet on
In recent years, fans of Wisconsin sports have enjoyed outstanding performances from their sports teams. The Green Bay Packers were the second-most successful NFL team of the 2010s, the Milwaukee Bucks clinched the NBA title in 2021, and the Brewers secured division titles in 2011, 2018, and 2021.
Let’s take a closer look at the three main professional sports teams in Wisconsin that host their home games.
Green Bay Packers betting
Although sports bettors are currently unable to place in-game wagers at Lambeau Field, third-party operators are eager to secure partnership agreements if the opportunity arises. The Packers, being one of the most respected franchises in football, could attract significant interest from potential sportsbook partners even for basic signage deals.
Milwaukee Bucks betting
The Bucks are recent NBA champions with a devoted fan base and superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. They made history in February 2022 by becoming the first pro team in the state to partner with a sportsbook, signing a multi-year agreement with Betway to become the team’s official gaming partner.
Milwaukee Brewers betting ⚾
Could the Brewers be inspired by the Washington Nationals and partner with a retail sports betting venue like BetMGM Underscoreg at American Family Field, their recently rebranded home park?
Wisconsin retail sportsbooks
As of 2022, there is just a single retail location in Wisconsin where sports betting is available.
- Oneida Casino (Oneida Casino Underscoreg, 2020 Airport Dr, Ashwaubenon, WI, 54313)
Growth of sports betting 📈
In 2018, the repeal of PASPA by the U.S. Supreme Court led to a rapid increase in the legalization of sports betting across the country. Nearly 36 states have now passed laws allowing some form of sports betting, often including the regulation of online sportsbooks and mobile betting applications. Explore our legal sports betting tracker to learn more about the status of sports betting in any state of interest.
In the last two years, Ohio and Massachusetts have had highly successful online betting launches, providing sports fans with a new way to support their favorite teams while also generating much-needed revenue for the states through licensing fees and taxes.
On March 11, 2024, legal sports betting officially launched in North Carolina, introducing eight top sportsbooks to the Tar Heel state. With major events such as the Copa America and Euro 2024 soccer tournaments taking place throughout the summer, the thrill and possibilities for sports betting fans are on the rise.
