Initial feedback has been positive, with users praising their competitive odds and clear betting limits. I have explained how PlayUp compares to the top U.S. sports betting sites in terms of standard odds, but what about futures? Upon closer examination of the NBA betting scene, it is evident that PlayUp’s futures odds are not as favorable, especially for the top teams. If you are seeking value in futures, it may be best to explore other options.
College Football
PlayUp is a decent option for NCAA football bettors, but they may have difficulty finding a wide variety of betting markets beyond the standard moneyline, ATS, and Over/Under options. The lack of in-game markets was disappointing, with many sub-menus appearing empty. While I appreciate PlayUp’s quick adjustments to live odds, I was hoping for more diverse betting opportunities.
College Basketball
Fans of NCAA basketball betting may be disappointed to find that PlayUp’s NCAA basketball product has similar flaws to their NCAA football product. While it is good that PlayUp offers a wide selection of Division I games during the season and tournaments, there are limited betting options once the games begin. This may leave users feeling unsatisfied.
NHL Betting
PlayUp is available in two states with NHL teams, attracting eager bettors looking for top-notch hockey betting options. While PlayUp offers a solid selection of futures bets, including Stanley Cup winners, division and conference champions, and individual player awards like the Hart Trophy, some may find its offerings to be good but not exceptional.
MLB Betting
During the summer months, MLB betting is a major focus for sportsbook customers. PlayUp stands out by offering a 28-cent juice on most two-way MLB props, giving them an edge in the market. Their baseball approach also includes basic 20-cent lines on totals and a good selection of in-game markets, although it may not be the best in the industry.
Other Sports Leagues
As previously mentioned, there is limited selection available here. PlayUp provides markets for soccer, tennis, golf, NASCAR, and rugby, as well as a “Specials” section with occasional odds boosts. If you prefer a diverse range of sports to bet on, it’s recommended that you search elsewhere.

Below this, you will find an “All Sports” tab where you can explore all available sports for betting. However, using the ribbon menu at the top of the screen may provide easier access to your preferred sport.
The Betslip and Cashout feature can be located on the right side of the screen for users. Within the Betslip, there are tabs available to view open bets or recently closed bets, providing a well-organized function for users to easily monitor their bets.
Another great feature is PlayUp’s “Max Bet” function which shows the maximum stake limit set by traders for each market when placing a bet.
Mobile Betting and Betting App
Once you overlook the color combination, the app is quite user-friendly and easy to navigate, similar to the website.
While the app closely resembles the desktop version in many aspects, one particular challenge we encountered was finding the BetSlip. After placing a bet, it may appear that nothing has happened. In this case, you will need to check the upper right-hand corner of the screen for a white icon and a green number, indicating your bet and the quantity in the BetSlip.
This may seem confusing at first, but with a few trips to the app, it will become second nature.
In addition to these worries, it is simple to place a bet and navigate your way around.
Live Betting
As soon as you access the website or app, you will see the live betting odds for ongoing games. You can easily find all live betting options by clicking on the “In-Game” icon on the website or the “In-Play” icon on the app.

Although a live chat option is currently unavailable (PlayUp has stated that it will be available soon), customer service can still be reached via phone. The representative I spoke with was professional and provided me with the information I needed promptly.
