Predictions and betting odds for the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge: Scheffler heavily favored
This week, Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas is hosting a field of 132 golfers, with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as the favorite. We are making our Charles Schwab Challenge picks based on the odds provided by our top golf betting sites.
The Charles Schwab Challenge is back at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, featuring a competitive field of 132 golfers following the major tournament. Scottie Scheffler, coming off a T-8 finish in the PGA Championship, is the top pick among bettors with odds as low as +270, giving him a 27.03% chance of winning the tournament.
Collin Morikawa and Max Homa, ranked 9th and 10th in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), are considered top contenders to win the Charles Schwab Challenge based on the odds.
This venue and tournament have a history of producing unexpected champions, such as Emiliano Grillo who won at 60-1 odds last year. In the past five years, four of the winners at Colonial Country Club had odds of at least +5000 before the tournament began.
These are our top Charles Schwab Challenge selections, determined by the odds provided by our top sports betting platforms.

Charles Schwab Challenge predictions
Collin Morikawa top American
Morikawa has achieved three top 10 finishes and a T-16 in his last four events, including a T-3 in the Masters and a T-4 in the PGA Championship. The two-time major winner has climbed back up to ninth in the OWGR rankings. However, this pick is not only based on Morikawa’s recent success but also on fading the extremely low odds on Scheffler in both the outright and top American betting markets.
Scheffler is the favorite to win the event with odds as low as +270, while Morikawa is next on the board with the best price at +1200. The tournament favorite is also favored to be the top American at +200 on bet365, so we’re going to take advantage of the inflated odds on Morikawa in a field dominated by American players.
Top odds: +1000 with bet365
Ryo Hisatsune top 20
After an impressive T-18 finish in his PGA Championship debut, Hisatsune’s missed cut in the Myrtle Beach Classic seemed even more puzzling, especially following a strong T-13 performance in the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
What caught my attention about Hisatsune this week is his impressive second place ranking on the PGA Tour for birdie-or-better percentage from the key distance of 125-150 yards. Additionally, his improved performance around the greens and accuracy off the tee make him well-suited for success at this challenging venue.
Top odds: +350 available on FanDuel
Mark Hubbard top 30
Hubbard has climbed to No. 79 in the OWGR without missing a cut since the RSM Classic in the fall. Following his career-best major finish of T-26 in the PGA Championship, he currently ranks ninth on Tour this season in birdie-or-better percentage from 125-150 yards.
Last year, he tied for ninth place in this event and ranked third in the field with 1.83 strokes gained: approach per round. His strong approach play was evident last week and has been consistent in his last 20 measured rounds.
You can usually find his odds in the top 30 market at +150, meaning you can make an extra $1 profit on a $10 bet by placing it with bet365.
Top odds: +160 on bet365

Lucas Glover
Despite Glover’s highest finish being 11th in the Valspar Championship this year, he is currently ranked 36th in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) and should be considered as one of the betting favorites in a competitive field. Glover has played 50 competitive rounds at Colonial CC, with only seven golfers having played more rounds at the course. In those rounds, he has averaged 0.17 true strokes gained on the field per round. His best finish at the course was a T-8 result in 2021.
Glover is well-suited for this year’s event, having performed strongly in his last four events. With an average of 1.04 strokes gained: approach and 0.20 SG: around-the-green per round, he has proven his skill. His accuracy off the tee, rather than distance, will be advantageous at the 7,289-yard venue.
Glover finished tied for 43rd in the PGA Championship and has made the cut in six consecutive events since missing the cut in The Players Championship. His only other missed cut this year was at the Sony Open in Hawaii in January.
I placed a bet on Glover’s +8000 odds on Monday morning, but they dropped to +6600 by Tuesday morning. FanDuel now has him at +7500, while Caesars has him at +4500. By betting $10 on Glover with FanDuel instead of Caesars, you could make an extra $300 in profit.
Top odds: +7500 at FanDuel
The odds for Scottie Scheffler to win the Charles Schwab Challenge.
+275 via BetMGM
Scheffler faced a rough beginning to his first tournament as a new father last week when he was arrested in Louisville, Ky., for a traffic violation before the second round. Despite having to warm up in a jail cell, he managed to shoot a 5-under 66. However, he struggled in the third round with a 2-over 73 before finishing strong to end T-8.
Although he recently won the RBC Heritage shortly after winning the Masters, it is advised that bettors steer clear of his +275 odds. These odds suggest a 26.67% chance of winning, resulting in a profit of only $27.50 on a $10 bet. It is possible that better odds may be available at our top live betting sites if Scheffler falls behind in the first round.
