The Wells Fargo Center hosts a showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday. Check out our top player props for Heat vs. 76ers based on the latest NBA odds.

The Miami Heat (46-36) will take on the Philadelphia 76ers (47-35) in the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. After reaching the NBA Finals last season through the play-in, the Heat are looking to repeat their success.

Miami had been leading the NBA Play-In Tournament odds for most of the second half of the season, but the 76ers had higher hopes before Joel Embiid’s injury. Now that Embiid is back and the team is healthy, Philadelphia is favored by 4.5 points on top sports betting sites as they aim to strengthen their position in the NBA championship race.

Here are our top player props and NBA picks for the Heat vs. 76ers game, in addition to our Hawks vs. Bulls player props. Our confidence in each pick is rated on a 1-to-5-star scale, with odds from our preferred NBA betting sites.

Predictions for prop bets on the Heat vs. 76ers game

Joel Embiid is expected to grab over 11.5 rebounds and is listed at +100 odds on FanDuel. This pick is rated three stars.

After recovering from injury, the current NBA MVP has returned to the court for five of the 76ers’ last seven regular season games. Had he not been sidelined, Embiid would have been a top contender for the NBA MVP title, as he has been playing at an elite level since his return. Despite his impressive scoring performance, he will face a tough challenge against the Miami Heat, who boast one of the best defenses in the league.

Considering Miami’s strong defensive ranking and ability to limit points to centers, we are choosing to focus on Embiid’s rebounds prop rather than his points line, which is set too high at 30.5. The Heat have struggled with rebounding this season and give up a significant number of defensive rebounds to opponents, particularly centers who average 14.21 rebounds per game against them.

The value of his rebounds prop stands out due to the even-money odds offered by FanDuel. A $10 bet on him grabbing at least 12 boards would result in a $10 profit. According to our odds calculator, he has a 50% chance of achieving this.

Bet on Jimmy Butler scoring under 23.5 points at -102 odds on FanDuel, rated three stars.

Jimmy Butler, typically a standout performer in the playoffs, has appeared to regress this season, casting doubt on his ability to make a significant impact in the NBA Play-In Tournament. Facing his former team adds an extra layer of difficulty. Philadelphia’s defense is particularly strong against small forwards, allowing only 20.51 points per game. As a result, we are predicting that Butler will score fewer points than usual in this matchup.

At FanDuel, the -102 odds suggest a 50.49% chance that Butler will score less than 24 points. A $10 bet would pay out $19.80 if he does hit the Under. Despite his nickname “Playoff Jimmy,” Butler has taken a backseat to other players this season, with a lower usage rate compared to Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier, and Adebayo, even though he leads the team in points per game with 20.8.

If Rozier is unable to play against the 76ers, Butler may not be the primary scorer. With limited chances, it will be difficult for Butler to score against a defense that ranks ninth in the NBA in points allowed (111.5).

Bet on Tyrese Maxey to record more than 6.5 assists at -120 odds on FanDuel, rating it as a four-star bet.

With Embiid back in the lineup, All-Star Tyrese Maxey no longer needs to shoulder as much of the scoring burden and can focus more on creating opportunities for his teammates. Although the Heat have a strong defense, they are not among the best in terms of assists allowed per game, which could work in favor of lead guards like Maxey in setting up their fellow scorers.

Miami allows the ninth highest number of assists per game to point guards in the NBA at 8.83. With Embiid returning to the lineup, Maxey has the opportunity to exploit this weakness. Maxey currently leads the team with an average of 6.2 assists per game, a number that would be even higher if Embiid had not been sidelined for a significant portion of the season.

With Embiid’s return, Maxey has the opportunity to assist him and score points against Miami. The -120 odds suggest a 54.55% chance that Maxey will record at least seven assists. Although the odds are not ideal, a $10 wager would still yield a payout of $18.33.
