The Pirates have gained a reputation for their strong defense rather than their offense, but they have been scoring consistently well in the NIT tournament. Apart from a close overtime victory in the first round against Saint Joseph’s, Seton Hall has been overpowering their opponents in the postseason. The team has secured victories in their last three games by an average margin of 18 points.

In recent games, the standout performance of guard Al-Amir Dawes has made a huge impact for Seton Hall. Dawes, who is the Pirates’ top 3-point shooter, is averaging 2.4 makes per game at an impressive 38.4% accuracy from beyond the arc.
