While Bueckers has been impressive in this tournament, Clark has been dominating March Madness all on her own. She continues to elevate her game each round, as shown by her 41 points and 12 assists to lead the Hawkeyes past defending champion LSU in the Elite Eight.

The Tigers guard Hailey Van Lith, who was tasked with defending Clark, was left shrugging her shoulders in a meme-worthy manner after the performance of the best shooter in women’s hoops. I doubt that UConn’s defense, while effective on a per-possession basis, has the ability to contain Clark when she reaches her peak performance. Can anyone stop her when she goes full Super Saiyan?

I can’t shake the feeling that the Huskies’ limited depth will become a problem against the fast-paced Hawkeyes, especially with only four days between games instead of the usual week for the men’s teams. UConn’s key players have been playing heavy minutes, and if the Hawkeyes find their groove, fatigue could set in during the later stages of the game.
