On Christmas Day, the struggling Philadelphia Eagles will face off against their rivals, the New York Giants. We will analyze the Eagles-Giants prediction using the top NFL odds provided by the leading sports betting apps.

Opposing quarterbacks have been receiving an early Christmas gift from the Philadelphia Eagles’ pass defense lately. This vulnerability has been the main downfall for a team with hopes of winning the Super Bowl, as shown in their recent three-game losing streak, including lopsided losses to the San Francisco 49ers (42-19) and Dallas Cowboys (33-13).

In the meantime, the New York Giants have shifted their focus to the 2026 season and are evaluating Tommy DeVito as a potential starting quarterback, although he is likely to serve as a backup for the remainder of the season.

The latest Italian-American NFL star had a disappointing performance in Week 15, but now has a great chance for a comeback in Week 16.

Prediction for Giants vs. Eagles on Christmas Day:

Tommy DeVito is expected to throw for over 184.5 passing yards, with odds of -110 on bet365. This pick is rated 4 stars.

It’s normal to feel hesitant and a bit nervous as you consider betting the Over on anything related to DeVito and passing yards.

Certainly, DeVito’s tale is ideal for the internet-savvy crowd, as he generously visits a pizzeria, mingles with Snooki, and secures numerous catchy nickname trademarks. However, DeVito’s popularity took a hit when he struggled during a crushing defeat against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15, averaging just 5.2 yards per completion.

This impressive performance occurred against a tough defensive team, as the Saints are ranked seventh in the league and only allow an average of 194.7 passing yards per game. In contrast, the Eagles’ defense is currently ranked 28th and gives up an average of 255.4 passing yards per game. This shows a significant difference in defensive abilities between the two teams.

In their recent three-game losing streak, the Eagles have gone up against two NFL MVP contenders in Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy. However, the level of competition took a significant dip in Week 15 when they faced Drew Lock. Despite only making his fifth start since 2020, Lock delivered crucial late-game throws to secure a 20-17 upset victory for the Seattle Seahawks.

During their three-game losing streak, the Eagles have allowed an average of 264.3 passing yards per game. This gives hope that DeVito can surpass the low passing yards total set by four top sportsbooks.

In the early stages of his career, DeVito has found success against weak secondaries in the limited number of games he has played. He threw for 246 yards against the bottom-ranked Washington Commanders and 191 yards against the New England Patriots, who have a middle-of-the-road pass defense ranking (16th).

Despite a lackluster performance against the Saints, he came close to surpassing his Week 16 passing line with 177 yards. The Giants are expected to be in a similar position as heavy underdogs against the Eagles, which will likely lead to DeVito throwing frequently against a struggling pass defense.

Taking all of that into consideration, it is clear why several projection models are predicting around 190 yards and favoring DeVito to exceed that. ESPN is even more optimistic, projecting 242 yards.
