In Week 3, Monday Night Football will feature a rematch of a former Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals. Our top prediction for the Rams-Bengals game is based on the most favorable NFL odds available on our top sports betting apps.

Last week, the Los Angeles Rams suffered a 30-23 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers, bringing their record to 6-13 since their Super Bowl LVI victory.

The Cincinnati Bengals are off to a rough start this season, currently standing at 0-2 under head coach Zac Taylor for the fourth time in five seasons. Their recent 27-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens ended a seven-game home winning streak, including playoff games.

It is uncertain whether Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow will play in the upcoming game, as he has been officially labeled as questionable due to a calf injury.

BetMGM and bet365 offer odds of -110 for under 44 points, with a four-star rating.

Due to a lingering calf injury that Joe Burrow re-aggravated during the Bengals’ final drive against the Ravens, he will not participate in full practice this week and is considered day-to-day. Despite the uncertainty, the team is leaning towards Burrow playing as Jake Browning is the only other quarterback on the roster. However, because of the situation, we have decided to make the Under our most confident pick instead of choosing a side on the point spread.

According to CBS Sports researcher Doug Clawson, Burrow has not completed any passes that have traveled 15-plus air yards this season, making him the only quarterback with multiple starts and no completions of that distance. If he continues to play through his injury, he will be vulnerable in the pocket, especially since he has been sacked a league-high 92 times over the last two seasons. The Rams’ secondary is likely to anticipate short routes, as Burrow’s average of 4.2 yards per attempt is tied for last in the NFL.

Rams QB Matt Stafford quickly bonded with wide receiver Puka Nacua, who made history as the first NFL rookie to record over 100 receiving yards and 10 catches in his debut game. Despite their strong connection, Stafford has struggled to increase his passing touchdown numbers, with only one or fewer passing touchdowns in nine out of 11 games since the beginning of last season.

Anticipate a game with few points scored, given Cincinnati’s average of 13.5 points per game and only two offensive touchdowns, along with 13 punts. Betting the Under is a strong four-star option, especially if Burrow is unable to play. Even with a healthy Burrow, the Bengals’ offense has not shown the ability to score heavily.

The Over/Under at FanDuel reached a high of 46.5 on Monday morning (46 at other sportsbooks), but has since dropped by at least 2 points across all shops. The decrease in the line is most likely due to Burrow’s injury status. Despite this, the Over still attracted 69% of early bets.

Caesars is the sole retailer offering Bengals -2.5, while all other betting sites have them at -3. On Sunday night, Cincinnati was favored by -6.5 at BetMGM, FanDuel, and Caesars, but by Monday afternoon the line had shifted to nearly a field goal. There was a balanced amount of action on the point spread, with a 55/45 split in favor of the Bengals.

The moneyline odds for Cincinnati vary from -130 at Caesars to -157 at BetRivers.
