According to betting analyst Stewart Serena of Underscoreg Review, the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Dallas Cowboys are his top Week 2 Survivor picks, as determined by the latest NFL odds from our top sports betting apps.
Every year, only a few Week 1 favorites in the NFL fall short.
The survivor contestants had a challenging start to the season, leading many pool participants to consider re-entering or developing a new strategy for the upcoming 2026 season.
In Week 2, there are only a few clear favorites, and I am confident that the Buffalo Bills will bounce back in my NFL Week 2 survivor selections.

Survivor’s NFL Week 2 Picks: Rankings
5. Giants (at Cardinals)
The New York Giants had a rough outing in their Sunday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. I don’t see the Giants making it to the playoffs, but this game was a significant regression for the team.
As of Thursday morning, the odds for the Arizona Cardinals having the worst record in the NFL have shifted in favor of the New York team.
4. Eagles (vs. Vikings)
I forgot to mention last week that a good survivor cannon is to avoid Thursday Night Football games. It’s one of my concerns about picking the Philadelphia Eagles for Week 2.
However, Philadelphia meets all the criteria effectively, whereas the Minnesota Vikings are coloring outside the lines with crayons. Despite this, Minnesota has the offensive skills to score points, but I personally prefer the other three teams.
3. Cowboys (vs. Jets)
The Dallas Cowboys are heavily favored in the Week 2 NFL odds and will be taking on the New York Jets with their second-string quarterback, Zach Wilson. Wilson ranked 35th in adjusted EPA per play out of 37 quarterbacks who played at least 200 snaps last season. With a completion percentage of 54.5% and a success rate of 39.5%, the Jets are facing a tough challenge.
If I didn’t have genuine respect for the New York defense, Big D would be my top choice for this week.
Furthermore, NFL analyst Phil Wood anticipates a close matchup between the Jets and Cowboys in Week 2, with Dallas not expected to easily defeat New York.
2. 49ers (at Rams)
Sean McVay, head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, demonstrated his coaching prowess against the Seattle Seahawks, but facing the San Francisco 49ers will be a whole new challenge.
San Francisco dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road, and I notice several mismatches favoring the 49ers on both offense and defense in this matchup. It is also important to consider the projected win totals for both teams.

There is no doubt that this is an uneven match.
1. Bills (vs. Raiders)
I anticipate that Bills quarterback Josh Allen will have a more balanced performance against the Las Vegas Raiders, with fewer turnovers and pass attempts. Buffalo’s offense is expected to be more effective by utilizing a stronger running game and improved efficiency in the passing game.
The Raiders gave up the ninth-highest rushing success rate to the Broncos, who are struggling offensively. Traveling east for a 1 p.m. ET game is always challenging, especially with the energetic Bills Mafia in the mix. This game seems to be leaning heavily in favor of Buffalo.
Survivor’s NFL Week 2 picks: Avoid
Lions (vs. Seahawks)
Press the rewind button, and the Detroit Lions were favored by -3 at home in lookahead markets before Week 1.
Has there been sufficient change for this point spread to almost double?
While results may vary, I am choosing to trust Seattle and avoid Detroit in survivor pools. There are plenty of easier matchups to choose from, and by avoiding this game we can get a more thorough understanding of both the Seahawks and Lions.
