Predictions for NFL Wild Card Weekend playoff specials

Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb are expected to amass over 250 receiving yards together, with odds of +250 according to DraftKings. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just one week ago, CeeDee Lamb nearly hit the Over on this prop all on his own by recording an impressive 227 receiving yards against the Detroit Lions. This game was one of four in the 2026-24 season where Lamb surpassed 150 yards, a feat also accomplished five times by Tyreek Hill, who had his own standout performance in Week 1 with 215 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Predictions suggest that both players will have a productive game and finish with over 90 receiving yards. According to NumberFire, Lamb is projected to have the highest total of all pass-catchers during Wild Card Weekend with 102.9 yards. To surpass this number, one of them will probably need to make a big play, which has been happening often.

In two of his last three games, Lamb has made receptions of over 40 yards, including a 92-yard catch against Detroit. Additionally, both wide receivers are among the top 10 in the league for making catches of 30 yards or more, with Hill leading the way with 14 such catches during the regular season.

Jalen Carter and Will Anderson Jr. are both expected to record 0.5 sacks, with odds at +600 on FanDuel. ⭐⭐⭐

The top pass-rushers are the frontrunners for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. They will have the chance to take advantage of weak offensive lines that gave up over 40 sacks in the regular season.

Anderson is eagerly anticipating facing the Cleveland Browns defense, which ranked 21st and allowed 46 sacks. Despite Joe Flacco’s recent resurgence, the almost 39-year-old quarterback is not known for his athleticism. The Chicago Bears, who had the second-worst pass rush with only 30 sacks, managed to sack Flacco four times in Week 15.

When you add in Anderson’s recent strong performance, which includes two sacks, three hits on the quarterback, and two tackles for a loss since coming back from an injury in Week 17, it’s hard not to be optimistic about his part of this bet.

Carter has regained his form with two sacks in his last four games after a midseason slump. He will have the opportunity to pressure Baker Mayfield, who has struggled against pass rushers in the second half of the season. Mayfield has had six games with multiple sacks allowed and two games with five or more sacks taken.

There is a +2500 odds on FanDuel for no touchdowns to be scored in a game. ⭐⭐

If you don’t like wearing lots of clothes to go outside, you probably spend a lot of time indoors in January if you live in the northern regions where winter is very cold.

Football in Buffalo is consistently an outdoor adventure for everyone, and as Morgan Xaviero pointed out in his prediction for the Bills-Steelers game, the weather is predicted to be extremely difficult. The forecast is so severe that the total for the game on Sunday has dropped significantly, from an initial 42.5 to around 36 at most major sportsbooks.

There is a band of lake-effect snow expected to be near Highmark Stadium, with severe winds forecasted to have a greater impact on the passing game.

Both teams are used to challenging weather conditions, especially the Bills. However, their experience will only take them so far when faced with extreme weather.

The forecast for this special event makes it the perfect long-shot bet. With the chance of snow-globe conditions and a great price, it’s definitely worth a small wager.
