As Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final approaches in Florida, the Edmonton Oilers are facing the daunting task of taking on the powerhouse Florida Panthers. The Panthers are not only the favorites for the upcoming game, but they are also leading the Stanley Cup odds. This will be their third time competing in the final and their second consecutive season making an appearance.

The game will start at 8 p.m. ET at Amerant Bank Arena, and will be broadcasted on ABC.

Predictions for the Oilers vs. Panthers match in the SGP

Leon Draisaitl is expected to record at least one assist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oilers fans are optimistic that Leon Draisaitl’s recent scoring struggles against the Stars were just a temporary setback. Despite not recording an assist in the first four games of the series, Draisaitl bounced back with assists in consecutive games, allowing Connor McDavid to deliver the final blow.

Draisaitl has recorded an assist in 11 out of the 12 games at the start of the playoffs. I believe he has a good chance of extending his assist streak to three games in the Stanley Cup Final opener. DraftKings’ -105 odds for this part of the parlay suggest a 51.22% chance of winning.

Evan Bouchard is projected to have over 2.5 shots, earning a four-star rating.

The Panthers are perhaps the top team in the league when it comes to limiting shots on goal and denying quality scoring opportunities. They play a strong team defense, often forcing opponents to dump the puck deep and focus on establishing a forecheck. This is where Edmonton’s strategy comes in, as they will rely on their defensemen to create more scoring opportunities, with Evan Bouchard being particularly effective at getting shots through to the net.

In four out of six games against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Final, he took at least three shots and should continue to challenge Sergei Bobrovsky whenever possible. He has exceeded the expected number of shots in 10 out of 18 playoff games. The -120 odds on this part of the proposition suggest a 54.55% likelihood.

Matthew Tkachuk is predicted to have more than 0.5 assists with a high rating of four stars.

In the first three games of last season’s Stanley Cup Final, Matthew Tkachuk recorded two goals and an assist. However, his performance took a downturn when he was held scoreless in Game 4 and was unable to play in Game 5 due to injury. Despite this setback, Tkachuk’s absence only leaves room for unfinished business to be settled in the future.

Tkachuk thrives in the intense atmosphere of the Stanley Cup Final, whether playing at home or away. Leading the Panthers with 19 points in 17 playoff games, he has been a key player in their success. Although he was unable to score in Games 5 and 6 against the New York Rangers, Tkachuk recorded an assist in four of the previous five matchups.

The +105 odds for this part of the parlay suggest a 48.78% chance of winning. The combined odds for all three legs are +634, indicating a 13.62% probability. If all three legs of the parlay are successful, a $10 bet would result in a profit of $63.40.
