The Edmonton Oilers staged a comeback from a two-goal deficit against the Dallas Stars in Game 4, evening the Western Conference Final series at two games each and sending it back to Dallas. We have you covered with our predictions for Friday’s Game 5, based on the top NHL odds available.

In a similar fashion to the Dallas Stars’ comeback win in Game 3, the Edmonton Oilers rallied from a two-goal deficit to secure a 5-2 victory in Game 4 just two days later. The series is now tied, setting up a best-of-three matchup with Game 5 scheduled for Friday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on TNT.

In Game 4, Oilers captain Connor McDavid continued his impressive postseason scoring streak by notching three assists. As a result, he remains a top contender for the Conn Smythe Trophy, currently leading all playoff scorers with 28 points in only 16 games.

I am more intrigued by this specific prop than a beachfront happy hour. In the Western Conference Final, the Stars are averaging 25.5 shots per game and the Oilers 31.5. These overall statistics may be slightly misleading. Only Game 1, which went to double-overtime, had Over 55.5 shots. I predict that there will not be much room for shots in Game 5, and there may not be many power-play opportunities based on the rest of the series so far. The Oilers have had six power-play attempts, while the Stars have been on the man advantage nine times.

In the past three games, Jake Oettinger has been facing an average of 12.7 shots in the first period. However, I anticipate a stronger start from the Stars in the upcoming game, which should result in fewer early shots from the Oilers.
