If Tua Tagovailoa remains healthy and the Dolphins utilize the talents of Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and running backs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr., they have the potential to be the top offensive team in the NFL by the end of the 2026 season.

The defense had a tough time towards the end of last season, but they are expected to improve with another offseason under Mike McDaniel’s coaching staff.

In my analysis of the Bills betting preview, I predict that Buffalo will place second in the division. While I also see potential in the Jets winning the AFC East, I believe the Dolphins offer better value with their longer odds and strong potential for success.

When comparing two different projection models for quarterback Tua, one assumes he will play all 17 games while the other factors in a couple of missed games. NumberFire predicts Tua will finish with 4,460.31 passing yards, ranking fifth among all quarterbacks. On the other hand, ESPN’s Mike Clay projects Tua to have 3,886 passing yards even with two missed games, which still surpasses the total predicted by NumberFire.

It may seem far-fetched to say, but leaving Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs could have been a positive change for Tyreek Hill. In his first season with the Dolphins, Hill saw a significant increase in targets, receptions, and receiving yards, indicating that Miami made a concerted effort to involve him more in their offense.

There were concerns about Hill’s statistics potentially decreasing with Waddle also needing a significant number of targets. Nevertheless, Waddle clearly held the second spot in the lineup, leading us to believe that Hill’s numbers might actually improve in his second season with the team.

Last season, Hill placed fourth in this category while Justin Jefferson, a fellow wide receiver, won the award with an impressive 128-catch, 1,809-yard, eight-touchdown campaign. Hill, on the other hand, recorded 119 catches, 1,710 receiving yards, and seven receiving scores. It is possible that Hill could match Jefferson’s numbers or even come close to reaching 1,900 yards, similar to what Cooper Kupp achieved two years ago.
