After a two-month hiatus, the European cups have made their return during the midweek as the soccer season intensifies. Top clubs across the continent are now gearing up for domestic action once again. Barcelona is aiming to widen their lead and race towards the Spanish La Liga title, while Napoli is edging closer to their first Serie A victory in 33 years. Bayern Munich is in a challenging fight to defend their crown in Germany, while PSG is looking to recover from their Champions League Round of 16 first-leg loss to Bayern on Tuesday and secure another Ligue 1 victory.

RB Leipzig have scored two or more goals in five of their last six matches against Wolfsburg in all competitions and are aiming to continue their goal-scoring streak when they play away this weekend. Wolfsburg, who played to a 0-0 draw against Schalke last weekend, were previously involved in high-scoring matches against Bayern (2-4), Union Berlin (1-2), Werder Bremen (1-2), Hertha (5-0), and Freiburg (6-0).

Both Wolfsburg and RB are competing for Champions League spots, with RB eager to secure a win to stay in the hunt for the top spot currently held by Bayern. A fast-paced, high-scoring match is anticipated in Wolfsburg this Saturday afternoon.

Spread: Bayern -1 vs. Borussia Mönchengladbach (+114 vs BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Bayern seems to have hit their stride and are improving with each game they play. Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday, the Bavarian giants are expected to return to dominating the domestic league and secure a win in Monchengladbach.

Currently, Borussia is lacking consistency, as evidenced by their recent 4-1 loss to relegation-threatened Hertha Berlin. Sitting in 10th place in the Bundesliga after 20 matches, it would be a major surprise if they were to win against Bayern. Given their performance this season and unresolved issues, Borussia does not appear to pose a serious threat to Bayern.

Upset: Rayo vs. Sevilla (+120 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

Sevilla successfully navigated away from the relegation zone and can now focus on moving up the table. The pressure is off and they are already looking towards next season, leaving little reason for them not to play entertaining football.

Rayo is currently in sixth place and has aspirations of hearing the Champions League anthem play at their stadium in the fall. However, there is still a significant distance to cover before that can become a reality. Facing teams like Sevilla can expose their vulnerabilities, as seen in recent losses to Real Sociedad and Betis. Sevilla will be looking to capitalize on these weaknesses as well.

Parlay: Napoli to win vs. Sassuolo and Over 2.5 goals (+115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐

The Scudetto is within reach for Napoli as they soar through the season, playing spectacularly and eagerly anticipating a celebratory feast at their Diego Armando Maradona Stadium. Under Luciano Spalletti’s leadership, the team holds a commanding 15-point lead over second-placed Inter with 16 matches remaining in the campaign.

Despite being undefeated in their last four matches, 15th-placed Sassuolo does not appear to have the capability to halt a team that is on a strong mission this year.
