Tuesday promises to be an exciting day in the NBA with the conclusion of the In-Season Tournament group stage, determining which six teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers are the only teams to advance to the NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinals. Point differentials and tiebreakers will dominate the discussion during Tuesday’s games.

Tuesday’s NBA player props
Darius Garland Over 6.5 assists vs. Hawks (+112 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Cleveland Cavaliers are still in the running for the NBA In-Season Tournament, but their advancement depends on beating the Atlanta Hawks by a significant margin to secure the highest point differential among the 3-1 teams. With a current plus-6 point differential, the Cavaliers need to win against the Hawks by a large margin to improve their chances of moving on in the tournament.
What makes Garland’s assists prop appealing to me is the fact that Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has demonstrated a willingness to play Garland for over 40 minutes this season. Given the Cavaliers’ need to secure a win by a significant margin, I anticipate Garland will see an increase in playing time, leading to more opportunities for assists.
The return of Donovan Mitchell to the Cavaliers’ lineup has increased my confidence in Darius Garland’s assists prop bet. With Mitchell drawing defensive attention, Garland has more space to operate and create scoring opportunities for his teammates.
According to projections, Garland is expected to have 7.1 assists on Tuesday. This leads us to place a bet on Over 6.5 assists at -124 odds. However, FanDuel is offering +112 odds for the same bet. Given the projection, this bet has a positive expected value of 17%.

This bet is gaining momentum. I initially placed it on FanDuel at -110, but that line quickly changed. However, bet365, one of our top sportsbooks, is still offering a unique price on this prop. While most other sports betting sites have Towns listed at -140, bet365 still has him at -120.
The Thunder lack the size to effectively defend against both Towns and Rudy Gobert simultaneously. Chet Holmgren will be tasked with guarding Gobert, while Jalen Williams will likely be matched up against Towns.
Williams, who has a 7-foot-2 wingspan despite being only 6-foot-5, is expected to make a comeback for the Thunder on Tuesday. Although Towns is not typically known for his physicality, his significant size advantage over Williams should allow him to easily position himself to receive passes from his teammates.
It’s difficult to imagine Williams being able to guard Towns by himself for the entire game, especially considering he’s coming back from an injury. I anticipate the Thunder will provide some help defense on Towns, leaving his teammates open for potential assists.
I believe the Over on Towns’ assists prop is a great deal at -153, with my projection of 3.2 assists in mind.

Kyrie Irving Over 4.5 assists vs. Rockets (+102 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have been closely watching Irving’s assist prop for weeks. With three consecutive Unders and a decrease in his total from 5.5 to 4.5 (with favorable odds), now is the ideal time to place a bet and capitalize on this prop.
According to reports, Luka Doncic is expected to take the court on Tuesday despite injuring his left wrist in the Dallas Mavericks’ previous game. Although the injury may not affect his shooting, it could present difficulties when handling the ball. It wouldn’t be unexpected to see Irving taking on more ball-handling responsibilities to prevent any worsening of Doncic’s wrist condition.
Irving is expected to record 5.2 assists in Tuesday’s game against the Rockets. The decrease from 5.5 to 4.5 assists is a significant factor in giving us an advantage with this bet. With a projection of 5.2 assists, it is not enough to warrant betting on him to exceed 5.5 assists. Given this forecast, we can set the odds for Irving to surpass 4.5 assists at -137.
