The Las Vegas Raiders had a chaotic offseason with the mishandling of Derek Carr’s release and the signing of injury-prone quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo causing concern among fans.

In addition to trading away one of their top players, tight end Darren Waller, Vegas is also facing challenges in other areas of their roster, notably along the offensive line and in the secondary.

Take a look at our 2026 Las Vegas Raiders betting preview, where we analyze the odds from our top sports betting apps and rate our confidence level on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Raiders to win Under 6.5 games (-125 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Over+110+108+110+110+105 ❄️
Under-130-138 ❄️-130-130-125

Is the switch from Carr to Garoppolo worth two wins? The betting market does not appear to think so. There is a divide among books on whether to set the Raiders’ win total at 6.5 or 7.5. However, it is clear that there is a lot of interest in betting the Under on 7.5 wins.

We agree with the sentiment that the Raiders may struggle to reach eight wins in the 2026-24 season, especially if Garoppolo is sidelined. Competing in the competitive AFC West, we are hesitant to predict Vegas will hit the eight-win mark. Due to the significant shift in the line to 6.5 wins, we only rate our Under prediction as a three-star selection.

The Raiders are not considered to be contenders for the Super Bowl or even within their division. The club is predicted to finish last in the AFC West with odds of -130.

Instead of betting on Las Vegas at low odds, it may be wiser to consider a division exacta with Kansas City Chiefs, who have won the division every year since 2016. The Raiders are expected to regress from their third-place finish.

Tyree Wilson to win Defensive Rookie of the Year (+1100 via FanDuel)

Las Vegas fans are not very hopeful about the Raiders’ draft abilities, given their past record. However, there is optimism that the team may have discovered a promising prospect in the 2026 draft.

The Raiders selected Tyree Wilson, a standout pass-rusher from Texas Tech, with the seventh overall pick. Wilson, known for his exceptional athleticism, was considered a top contender to be the first defensive player chosen in the draft.

Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones will serve as mentors for him, and Wilson is expected to have immediate playing opportunities. His chances of winning Defensive Rookie of the Year are also favorable at +650 in other locations.

Maxx Crosby 12+ regular-season sacks (+240 via DraftKings)

Crosby has emerged as one of the top edge-rushers in the NFL. He has been selected for the Pro Bowl in the last two seasons and achieved a career-best 12.5 sacks in 2026.

Crosby is constantly striving to enhance his grip strength in order to secure plays and capitalize on missed sack opportunities from the previous year.

Crosby explained to Ted Nguyen of The Athletic that a significant aspect of his success this year has been focusing on the little details and training, such as grabbing a piece of the jersey and pulling opponents in during sacks.

Raiders worst regular-season record (+1500 via Caesars)

We argued in favor of betting on the Raiders in our picks for the worst regular-season record. Garoppolo has been plagued by injuries in his last three seasons, only playing a full regular-season schedule once in the past six years.

If Jimmy G gets injured again, the Raiders lack the depth and talent at quarterback to make up for his absence.
