We start our predictions for Week 4 of the NFL with Thursday Night Football, featuring the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers.

Our predictions for anytime and first touchdown scorers during the NFL season have resulted in a loss of 1.9 units thus far. Some successful picks have been Rashee Rice (+600) of the Kansas City Chiefs, Brian Robinson Jr. (+650) of the Washington Commanders, and Tank Bigsby (+260) of the Jacksonville Jaguars, all scoring touchdowns.

Lions vs. Packers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Sam LaPorta, Lions, TE (+250 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

LaPorta, the 34th overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2026 NFL Draft, had a standout performance against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The former Iowa player hauled in eight receptions on 11 targets for 84 yards and scored his first NFL touchdown. This game brought his season stats to 18 receptions on 22 targets for 186 yards.

To everyone’s surprise, the statistical outburst occurred despite only playing 74% of the team’s offensive snaps, but it ultimately helped secure a comfortable 20-6 victory for the Lions.

When predicting the Lions vs. Packers matchup on Thursday, Detroit is favored by 2 points on the road. In a close game and with running back David Montgomery not at full health, quarterback Jared Goff should target his 6-foot-4 red-zone option more frequently near the end zone.
