Christian McCaffrey finished the regular season with an average of 67 rushing yards per game, but in four of his last seven games, including the postseason, he exceeded this mark. He had six regular-season games with at least 75 rushing yards. Philadelphia’s defense allowed an average of 125.3 rushing yards in their last three regular-season games, but last week they limited Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants to just 61 yards.

Since taking over as the starter, Brock Purdy, the rookie quarterback for the 49ers, has thrown for a minimum of two touchdowns in each game. He even managed to throw two scoring passes when he replaced the injured Jimmy Garoppolo mid-game. Purdy has achieved the feat of completing a pass for a touchdown twice in two of the seven games he has played. He also replicated this accomplishment in the wild-card game against the Seahawks.

Facing the Philadelphia defense, he will have a challenging time as they gave up an average of 1.2 passing touchdowns per game during the regular season. Despite this, nine quarterbacks have managed to throw at least two touchdown passes in a single game against them this season. In four of those instances, at least one touchdown pass was thrown in each half.

Subtract two stars from this prop not because Purdy is incapable of throwing at least two touchdowns, but because achieving one in each half is more challenging than it may seem. Nonetheless, if he manages to accomplish this feat, you stand to earn a decent profit.

The Eagles have been most effective in the first half, scoring an average of 17.4 points in the first 30 minutes of their games. They surpassed this total in 14 regular-season games and also in last week’s playoff game against the New York Giants.

In the regular season, San Francisco’s defense only allowed an average of 16.3 points per game, the lowest in the league. This total was evenly split between the first and second halves, with three 49ers players conceding just over eight points per half. However, in their last three games, including the wild-card game against the Seahawks, they allowed at least 13 points in the first half.

Opposing teams have had a tough time preventing Philadelphia from scoring in the first half, making this prop bet very enticing. Even with the strong Niners defense, it will be a challenge for them to keep the Eagles from reaching this milestone before halftime.
