This week at Royal Liverpool, the top golfers in the world will be vying for the Claret Jug in the final major championship of the year. Our British Open sleeper picks feature our favorite long shots with odds of +5000 or higher from the top sports betting apps.

As the British Open odds stabilize after the Genesis Scottish Open and Barbasol Championship, we still see potential value in three underdogs as the historic major heads back to Royal Liverpool.

Look for our top bet on Rory McIlroy, the favorite to win the British Open, in our picks. We will also be searching our top sports betting sites for players with odds higher than +5000 in order to find the best value in the outright winner market for the year’s final major.

Best British Open sleeper picks and predictions 2026

Min Woo Lee to win (+7000 via DraftKings)

Lee’s odds to win the British Open have significantly improved from +15000 to +7000 on DraftKings. He has also climbed from No. 56 to No. 47 in the Official World Golf Ranking since the end of 2026.

The 24-year-old Australian finished tied for 21st in the 2026 Open Championship, missed the cut in the 2026 Masters, tied for 18th in the PGA Championship, and achieved a career-best major finish of T-5 in the U.S. Open. He is now aiming to win his first major championship after securing two European Tour victories.

Despite his lackluster play on approach to the greens, Lee managed to tie for 35th in last week’s Scottish Open. Although he has been struggling in that area recently, his long irons and driver have shown improvement.

Lee can take advantage of British Open odds as low as +5000 at some of our other top sportsbooks, so make sure to secure this ticket at BetMGM or PointsBet.

Corey Conners to win (+8000 via BetMGM)

Following three consecutive top-10 finishes in the Masters, Conners failed to make the cut at Augusta National to kick off the 2026 major season, despite recently winning his second career PGA Tour victory at the Valero Texas Open. Despite a late stumble, Conners dominated the PGA Championship leaderboard for a majority of the tournament, ultimately finishing T-12. He is now aiming for a strong recovery in the upcoming U.S. Open after his disappointing missed cut.

The Canadian golfer has performed well on links courses in recent years, finishing T-15 and T-28 at the 2021 and 2026 British Opens. He also had a strong showing at the Scottish Open, finishing T-19 with a final round of 4-under par. His driving and long iron play were impressive, and he even showed improvement with his putting. As a result, Conners is currently ranked 26th in par-4 scoring for the 2026-23 PGA Tour season, which bodes well for his upcoming tournament at Royal Liverpool.

On Monday morning, Conners had odds of +10000, but those have since decreased in the market. He is still a good choice at +8000, but I would not recommend betting on him at lower odds. I believe his odds will increase again by the first round on Thursday.

Keegan Bradley to win (+11000 via PointsBet)

The odds of Bradley winning the British Open are perplexing.

The American golfer has moved up to 15th in the OWGR from 25th in 2026. He has secured his fifth and sixth PGA Tour wins this season and is a previous major champion, winning the 2011 PGA Championship. Additionally, he finished tied for 19th in the 2014 British Open at Royal Liverpool.

However, Bradley’s odds are surprisingly high at +11000 on PointsBet, while DraftKings is offering lower odds at +9000.

The talented American golfer did not participate in last week’s tournament in Scotland, but he has been consistently performing well with his putting and iron play throughout the season. Additionally, he has been one of the longest drivers in the field based on his last 20 rounds, and he particularly excels on par 4 holes.
