Chargers vs. Raiders NFL player props: Thursday Night Football

Michael Mayer longest reception Over 11.5 yards (-110 via BetMGM

Mayer, drafted 35th overall by the Raiders in April, has taken some time to make his mark as a rookie tight end, as is typical. However, he has shown consistent ability to make at least one big play. Heading into Week 15, Mayer is poised to deliver another impactful performance in an ideal position.

Although the Notre Dame player has failed to meet the yardage prop total of 19.5 in nine out of 13 games, he has caught at least one pass for 12 or more yards in six of his last nine games. This streak has continued over the last three weeks with O’Connell as the quarterback.

He is expected to have another good game against the Chargers defense, which is ranked fifth-worst in allowing receptions (74) and receiving yards (784) to tight ends. In Week 14, Los Angeles allowed second-year tight end Lucas Krull, who had been on the Denver Broncos’ practice squad for most of the season, to gain 35 yards on his first professional catch.

The Chargers have given up a catch of at least 12 yards to an opposing tight end in eight out of their nine games since facing these teams in Week 4. This trend is likely to continue on Thursday.

Evans Santiago provides further analysis on Mayer and gives his prediction for an anytime touchdown scorer in Thursday Night Football.

Khalil Mack Over 0.75 sacks (-145 via DraftKings

This is equally a showcase of Mack’s talent and a critique of the Raiders’ struggling offensive line, which was outplayed in the first matchup between these teams in early October.

In that game, Las Vegas surrendered a record-breaking seven sacks, with six of them coming from Mack, who dominated his former team. This performance is consistent with his career pattern, as the All-Pro edge rusher has now accumulated a total of 10 sacks in five matchups against the Raiders.

Mack went sackless in Week 14 but still managed to generate five pressures for the fourth consecutive week. In the previous three weeks, he had multiple sacks in each game. On the other hand, the Minnesota Vikings dominated Las Vegas, sacking O’Connell four times in a shutout victory.

The Raiders’ struggling offensive line was already facing injuries when they lost center Andre James to an ankle injury, making it unlikely he will play on a short week. This sets up a favorable matchup for Mack, who is heavily favored at -180 on bet365 to get a sack on Thursday.
