Week 15 of the NFL season starts with the Las Vegas Raiders welcoming the Los Angeles Chargers in an AFC West battle. We are here to provide you with our prediction for Thursday Night Football between the Chargers and Raiders, using the top NFL odds available.

The Los Angeles Chargers, with a record of 5-8, are heading into this week’s Thursday Night Football game on a losing streak, having lost four of their last five games. They face a tough matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who also have a record of 5-8, in a showdown featuring backup quarterbacks.

During Week 14, the Chargers suffered a 24-7 defeat at home against the Denver Broncos, marking their third consecutive loss at home under coach Brandon Staley. Additionally, starting QB Justin Herbert sustained a finger injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

The Minnesota Vikings emerged victorious in a low-scoring 3-0 battle against Las Vegas, resulting in the NFL’s lowest-scoring game since 2007 and the Raiders’ first shutout at home since 2011. This marked Las Vegas’ third consecutive loss under interim head coach Antonio Pierce, who had previously led the team to victory in his first two games.

We have little faith in Unders with Brandon Staley coaching due to his tendency to take risks on fourth downs. Our support is behind the Raiders, and we anticipate a disappointing showing from the Chargers, who may be playing under a coach with an uncertain future.

Last week, Las Vegas was ranked in the top 13 in defensive DVOA over the previous five weeks, with a top 10 ranking against the pass. Despite concerns about the Raiders’ run defense, bettors should be reassured by the Chargers’ weak offensive line performance, as they only managed to run for 76 yards last week and have the lowest run-blocking grade in the league.

Los Angeles gave up six sacks to six different players, contributing to their 0-for-12 conversion rate on third down. Despite averaging only 10 points per game in their three-game losing streak, Las Vegas players are showing more fight under interim head coach Antonio Pierce (2-3 in five games) compared to the Chargers under Staley.

The Raiders have a 17-15 ATS record at home since relocating to Las Vegas, compared to a 13-19 ATS record in road or neutral-site games. Los Angeles has maintained a .500 ATS or better record on the road for 11 consecutive seasons, but is currently 3-3 ATS in six road games this year. We predict that their road record will drop to 3-4 ATS after this week’s game.
