Two potential conference champions start off Week 2 of the NFL season. 1st touchdown yards Over 8.5 (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Both teams kicked off their 2023 season with impressive first touchdowns. Minnesota introduced rookie Jordan Addison with a 39-yard touchdown pass from Cousins, while Philadelphia scored their first touchdown of the season with a 70-yard interception return by Darius Slay.

In Week 1, both teams allowed their opponents to score a touchdown for the first time on a play of at least nine yards. The Eagles gave up a nine-yard touchdown reception to Hunter Henry, while Minnesota saw Mayfield connect with Mike Evans for a 28-yard score.

The Vikings made it to the red zone on three out of 11 possessions against the Bucs last week, but only managed to score once. Philadelphia also only crossed the opponent’s 20-yard line twice in their last game, with one resulting in a DeVonta Smith touchdown and the other in a Jake Elliott field goal.

T.J. Hockenson longest reception Under 18.5 (-125 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ever since T.J. Hockenson joined the Vikings in November of last season, he has only caught two passes for at least 19 yards. His longest catch as a Minnesota tight end was a 21-yarder against his former team in Detroit. In his three matchups against the Eagles throughout his career, all with the Lions, his longest reception was 18 yards in Week 8 of 2021. None of the other Vikings tight ends managed to catch a pass for more than 17 yards last season.

Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki both made receptions against Philadelphia in the previous week. Although neither player surpassed a certain mark, Gesicki almost did with a 17-yard catch during the Patriots’ final drive of the game.

I am focusing on Justin Jefferson’s player props for Thursday Night Football as he is Minnesota’s top receiving option.
