Blake Corum anytime touchdown (-400 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Predicting touchdowns can be unpredictable, but Michigan running back Blake Corum has been a consistent scoring threat. With 25 touchdowns this season, he has found the end zone in every game and has scored multiple times in six consecutive games leading up to the national championship.

Corum’s touchdown odds no longer offer good value, as he is currently trading at around -400 or -425 to score against Washington. The best odds available for him to score multiple touchdowns is +115 at BetRivers. Additionally, he is +125 to record Michigan’s first touchdown at BetMGM, a suggestion I made in our Expert Picks column for this game.

Because Corum has low odds of scoring a touchdown, we suggest only using it in same-game parlays for the national championship game. This is why we have chosen to start our Corum-led same-game parlay with this bet.

DraftKings and FanDuel are the sole providers of alternate rushing markets, so we are choosing to go to FanDuel to place this Same Game Parlay (SGP). Corum is favored at -650 to exceed 70 rushing yards on DraftKings, which adjusts the overall odds of this parlay to -125.

In the previous game against Alabama, Corum rushed for 83 yards. Michigan is expected to heavily rely on their running game to control the clock and limit Washington’s offensive opportunities. Washington’s defense ranks 126th in the nation in stopping the run, making Corum a key player for the Wolverines in this matchup. Michigan will look to feed the ball to Corum as often as they can.

Michigan ML (-210 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The outcome of this SGP hinges on Michigan securing a victory. If you’re a fan of the thrilling Washington team, this parlay may not be to your liking. However, I have believed Michigan to be one of the top two teams in the nation since the summer, and I stand by that assertion.

Based on my calculations, Michigan is favored to win by a touchdown against Washington. It’s important to remember that the Huskies were significant underdogs in their last two games, including the Pac-12 championship. It seems like the spread of -4.5 to -5 may be an overreaction by the market.

Maybe I have too much faith in Michigan, which could end up causing me to lose all my bets. Anything is possible in one game. I just think Michigan’s strong line play will lead them to victory, and Coach Jim Harbaugh will come out on top despite a season full of challenges.
