Sports Betting Scene in Virginia Grows With Fanatics Underscoreg Launch
The Virginia sports betting market is expanding with the introduction of Fanatics Underscoreg, giving bettors in the state more options.
Fanatics made headlines in June with its purchase of PointsBet, a $250 million deal that granted Fanatics immediate market entry into 14 states in the US.
This debut of a Virginia sports betting app instantly places Fanatics in direct competition with the leading sports betting apps. Fanatics now stands alongside FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, bet365, and BetRivers as one of 16 sports betting providers in the state.
What is Fanatics
While not the most well-known name in the U.S. legal sports betting industry, Fanatics Underscoreg poses a significant threat to many second-tier sportsbooks in Virginia and nationwide.
Fanatics, the world’s largest sports apparel and collectibles company, is set to enter the legal sports betting market with a reported 95 million-person customer database.
Before the acquisition by Fanatics Underscoreg, PointsBet was ranked as the seventh-largest sportsbook in the American market.
It is thought that increasing brand recognition for the sports apparel company can help to grow its market share in the regions where it currently operates.
Simple transition
Customers who had a PointsBet account will find it simple to switch over to the Fanatics brand.
Users on the PointsBet platform will be required to download the Fanatics Underscoreg app, however, their login information will be transferred over. Additionally, account balances will seamlessly transfer to the Fanatics Underscoreg app.
During the transition, users who place a minimum $10 bet over a five-day period will have the opportunity to earn $200 in Virginia sportsbook promos. Each day, users will receive $40 in bonuses for placing a $10 bet, regardless of the bet’s outcome.
Fanatics Underscoreg Rewards
Fanatics’ launch in Virginia will give new users the opportunity to benefit from a surge in rewards offered by the company’s Fanatics Rewards program.
Users will receive a week-long supply of timely promotions and boosts for the action-packed Thanksgiving sports week.
As soon as you register with the brand, Fanatics FanCash will become active. This rewards program offers 1% to 5% in FanCash that can be redeemed at the Fanatics full-stocked merchandise store.
Busy month for Virginia
There has been significant change in the Virginia legal sports betting industry in recent weeks. Fanatics replaced PointsBet, ESPN BET replaced Barstool Underscoreg, and SuperBook joined the state’s sports betting family.
Virginia sports betting apps and retail providers are experiencing a busy season with the return of NFL and college football, as well as the start of the NBA and NHL seasons. While October’s figures have not been released, in September, the state’s top sports betting sites saw a combined handle of $520.3 million.
