NBA Player Props & Best Bets Today: Schedule, Picks for Friday
We are analyzing the top NBA player props and the most favorable bets for Friday, utilizing the best NBA odds available.
The NBA took a break for Thanksgiving on Thursday, so there were no games. However, our NBA best bets from Wednesday were successful once again, with a 2-1 record and a net gain of 0.68 units. We almost had a perfect night, but De’Aaron Fox fell just short of the six assists needed for a win.
The NBA In-Season Tournament resumes on Friday, with several teams aiming to advance to the quarterfinals alongside the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers.
An intense competition is set to take place in Group C of the Western Conference as the Minnesota Timberwolves welcome the Sacramento Kings to Target Center. Both teams are currently undefeated with a 2-0 record in the group.
The games on Friday are crucial for teams trying to either secure their spot in the next round or improve their point differentials, which greatly affects how these matchups are handicapped. The quest for advancement increases the competitiveness of the games, as some teams try to increase their lead. These factors are important in predicting game outcomes, as teams’ goals for advancement and strategic point differentials heavily influence the stakes and strategies involved.
Below are our NBA player prop bets and top picks for Friday’s games, with odds sourced from our preferred NBA betting sites. Confidence levels are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

Friday’s NBA player props
Fred VanVleet Over 16.5 points vs. Nuggets (-104 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Denver Nuggets, current NBA champions, must secure a victory against the Houston Rockets on Friday in order to keep their hopes alive for advancing to the quarterfinals. But the Rockets are also in contention for the group win, and with a few days of rest until their next game on Tuesday, Ime Udoka is prepared to play Fred VanVleet for over 40 minutes in Friday’s matchup.
During their recent matchup, the Rockets went up against the Nuggets and Udoka emphasized his strategy to force Nikola Jokic to work on defense. No matter who Jokic was guarding, that player would set screens for VanVleet in a pick-and-roll play. With Jokic positioned deep in drop coverage, VanVleet found himself with numerous open mid-range jump shot opportunities when Reggie Jackson couldn’t navigate over the screens.
Given VanVleet’s anticipated playing time, a slight uptick in shot attempts against a weaker opponent, and a reduced projection for his points total (from 18.5 to 16.5), it would be wise to bet on the Over.
VanVleet is expected to score 18.4 points on Friday against the Nuggets, with the adjusted total changing from 18.5 to 16.5 being a key factor in this prediction. With this projection in mind, we can set the odds for VanVleet to surpass this total at -145.
The adjusted total is a key factor in determining this bet, along with the outlier price at FanDuel. FanDuel is offering the Over at -104, compared to DraftKings at -120, giving us a significant edge with the FanDuel price.
Andrew Wiggins Over 13.5 points vs. Spurs (+100 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I won’t sugarcoat it – Wiggins has had a terrible season. However, I am willing to bet on any player at the right price, and I believe that taking the Over at 13.5 points against the San Antonio Spurs at +100 odds is the right price for me.
Why did James Harden have a successful game against the Spurs on Friday? The Spurs struggle with defending at the point of attack, making it difficult for them to stop multiple primary ball-handlers. This allowed Harden to exploit the defense by finding open spots on the court while the focus was on Kawhi Leonard or Paul George.
Should the Spurs choose to focus on stopping Stephen Curry, Chris Paul will be able to exploit the gaps in the defense and create open shots for his teammates, including Wiggins.
In order to neutralize Victor Wembanyama’s help defense in the lane, it is important to keep as many shooters on the court as possible when playing against the Spurs. This strategy should ensure that Andrew Wiggins gets significant playing time on Friday, as his defensive presence and offensive spacing will be crucial in combating the Spurs’ defensive strategies.
Based on the projection that Wiggins will score 15.1 points on Friday, the Over 13.5 points bet is priced at -135. However, DraftKings is offering it at +100, which presents a positive expected value of 12%.
