When one team has negative MLS betting odds and the other has positive odds, the team with negative odds is considered the favorite and the team with positive odds is considered the underdog.

For instance, if you bet on over 2.5 goals in a match between Sporting Kansas City and Portland Timbers, you win if there are three or more goals, regardless of the winning team. Whether it ends 2-1 in favor of Kansas City or 3-0 in favor of Portland, you still win.
