At the 2024 EGR North America Awards, Caesars Entertainment, a top operator of sports betting sites, was honored with the Casino Operator of the Year award.

The June 27 event in New York City is dedicated to recognizing the top sportsbooks and iGaming operators in the country. Caesars has won the award for the first time, following BetMGM who received the top honor in 2022 and 2023.

Matthew Sunderland, SVP and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital, expressed his excitement about Caesars Entertainment winning Casino Operator of the Year at the EGR North America Awards. He commended the iGaming team for their dedication and hard work, stating that the success of Caesars Palace Online Casino has exceeded expectations and they are just beginning their journey.

Upgrades, expansions, and partnerships

Following the successful launch of Caesars Palace Online Casino last summer, Caesars Digital has achieved another victory with the recent refresh of their mobile casino. The updated version now features a multi-lobby navigational layout, providing curated lobbies for games such as live dealer and slots.

In addition to the enhancements made to the Caesars Palace Online Casino app, operations at Caesars Entertainment have been steadily growing.

One of the ways Caesars expanded was through its collaboration with Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) to open multiple physical sportsbooks in New Mexico.

Last month, Caesars finalized the acquisition of WynnBET’s iGaming operation in Michigan as part of its strategy to enhance Michigan’s online casino market and capitalize on the closure of WynnBET Michigan.

In addition to those two important decisions, Caesars also formed a blackjack alliance with the NHL. The introduction of the new live-dealer game coincided with the start of the NHL playoffs and was accessible to residents in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan sports betting markets.
