Caesars Underscoreg has established a significant presence in a highly competitive sector of the U.S. sports betting market.

Caesars Entertainment, in partnership with Genius Sports, will be the first U.S.-based operator to provide “Watch and Bet” video streams for specific National Football League games. This will include official data-driven in-game betting options and player props, in addition to live video streams of NFL games.

Our goal is to provide customers with the best possible in-play NFL betting experience on mobile devices and tablets.

Brent Lawton, VP of NFL Media Strategy and Business Development, expressed enthusiasm for the new Watch and Bet platform, calling it an innovative way for fans to engage with NFL content through partnerships with Genius Sports and Caesars.

The integration of live streaming and live betting, soon to be available on bet365 and Bet99 in Canada, represents the natural evolution of the sports betting experience. Betting on a game while watching it live adds an extra level of excitement, making it even more enjoyable. As more games become available for streaming, the combination of live betting and live streaming will only enhance the overall sports betting experience.

This shift also indicates the evolving viewing preferences of the betting public and the broader American sports audience. A cable TV subscription is held by less than half of American viewers ages 18-37.

As younger audiences continue to shift away from cable, the demand for streaming NFL content is expected to rise. If Caesars can attract these viewers by providing live sports betting opportunities, it may pave the way for a new trend where sports betting apps directly stream games for various sports to bettors.

Engaging in live betting poses a challenge for bettors as it demands quick decision-making and the ability to identify value in real time, unlike pre-game betting which allows for careful evaluation before placing a wager.

One of the challenges in streaming games, particularly when it comes to sports betting, is ensuring that the stream’s speed is as close to real-time as possible. This is especially important with the rise of micro-betting, where customers can wager on specific micro-events such as pitch or possession outcomes.

Underscoregs are naturally interested in enhancing the appeal of live sports betting. In the past, pre-game betting was dominant, but live betting markets now offer a new revenue stream with great potential to significantly increase the handle.

TV networks may face a persistent challenge in the long term. Cable television is not disappearing overnight, but as younger audiences gravitate towards streaming and technology continues to advance, there will likely be an increase in the number of games available for streaming. This could eventually lead to a decrease in the motivation to purchase cable packages for sports viewing.

Caesars’ foray into streaming and live sports betting is an exciting move forward, and it will be fascinating to observe the pace at which they take their next steps in this direction. Given the current industry trends, this is likely just the start of their journey in this space.
