The top sportsbooks are constantly striving to expand into new territories, often focusing on major markets. However, targeting smaller markets can also be successful, as Caesars has demonstrated with their recent move into New Mexico.

One of the top sports betting apps, Caesars, has teamed up with Laguna Development Corporation to open multiple in-person sportsbooks in New Mexico. Bettors can now place wagers at the Route 66 Casino Hotel, Casino Xpress, and Dancing Eagle Casino.

The goal is to enhance accessibility and improve the overall experience of sports betting in New Mexico.

In a statement, President and CEO of LDC Maxine Velasquez expressed enthusiasm about partnering with a top gaming company to offer New Mexico sports fans an exceptional wagering experience that links guests to sporting events globally.

The strategy

Increasing access to in-person wagering is essential in a state where it is the sole option for bettors. In New Mexico, in-person betting is permitted, while online betting through betting sites is not allowed.

Caesars is focusing on established and popular venues, incorporating kiosks to introduce the familiar Caesars sportsbook promo code experience to historic locations.

For instance, Route 66 has been a popular destination for gamblers in New Mexico for many years, and its iconic neon lights were featured in the 2016 film “Hell or High Water.”

Route 66 Casino Hotel General Manager Adrian Fox announced that in addition to ongoing improvements, the casino will now offer guests access to a top sports betting brand, Caesars Underscoreg platform, with a wide range of wagering options on sports from all over the globe.

Additionally, the Caesars casino promo code will enhance the vibrant atmosphere at Dancing Eagle, which already boasts 400 slot and bingo machines.

This is all a part of a larger effort to expand presence in a region with limited access to online betting.
