Fanatics Underscoreg, one of our top sportsbooks, will soon be available for users in the lively Grand Canyon State.

In a press release on Friday, the Arizona Department of Gaming revealed that Fanatics Betting and Gaming has secured market access to the Arizona sports betting industry through a partnership with the Tonto Apache Tribe for an Event Wagering license.

Fanatics is now accessible for download on iOS, Android, and desktop devices in Arizona. As the latest addition to the array of Arizona sports betting apps, it is among 19 other sports betting operators offering wagers in the competitive Arizona legal sports betting market. Fanatics Underscoreg was the sole prominent U.S. sportsbook without a presence in Arizona until Friday.

Arizona’s legal sports betting market has been thriving recently, with a record $706.4 million handle in January and $46.2 million in adjusted gross revenue for state providers. Residents are making the most of various Arizona sportsbook promotions.

Filling out the market

Arizona legalized sports betting in April 2021, allowing for a total of 20 event wagering licenses to be issued. Ten licenses were designated for Arizona tribes partnering with a sports betting site, while the remaining ten were reserved for the state’s sports franchises.

In February, there were only 18 active licenses in Arizona, leading the Arizona Department of Gaming (ADOG) to announce an application process for two new licenses. One license must be connected to a tribal casino, while the other must be affiliated with a local sports team in the state.

The Fanatics successfully secured a tribal sports betting license, while no sports teams in the state applied for an event wagering license, leaving at least one valuable license available.

Fanatical building

Fanatics has been making significant strides in expanding its legal sports betting platform throughout the United States. This rapid expansion comes on the heels of the company’s acquisition of PointsBet’s North American operations last summer, providing Fanatics with immediate access to a variety of new markets in the growing U.S. legal sports betting industry.

Fanatics Underscoreg can now be found in 16 U.S. states, with some of the top-performing jurisdictions in America such as Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Fanatics has launched in Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, North Carolina, and Arizona over the past six weeks.

Fanatics Underscoreg brings

While not widely known in the legal sports betting industry, Fanatics has established strong brand recognition in the sports and retail sectors. As one of the largest global online producers and sellers of licensed sportswear, Fanatics has a unique advantage with its extensive customer database that sets it apart from other sports betting providers.

The company is introducing its premium rewards program, “FanCash,” to the Arizona market. This program enables Fanatics Underscoreg users to earn up to 5% cash back rewards that can be redeemed for Bonus Bets and Fanatics branded merchandise from its top-rated online retail store.
