Fanatics Underscoreg, a top sports betting site, has been granted a Management Services Provider license by the Illinois Gaming Board, marking the last hurdle before its official launch in Illinois.

The migration from PointsBet USA to Fanatics USA is nearly finished with the launch in Illinois. This marks the successful conclusion of the transition process that began after Fanatics acquired PointsBet for $225 million earlier this summer.

Having established a strong foothold in the Illinois sports betting market, Fanatics is poised to expand its sportsbook to 20 states across the US, giving them access to approximately 95% of all eligible legal sports bettors nationwide.

Illinois and New Jersey sports betting apps are the final ones to be migrated to Fanatics Underscoreg, and this process should be completed within the next 30 days.

“Acquiring the US businesses of PointsBet has significantly boosted our expansion efforts,” stated Matt King, CEO of Fanatics Betting and Gaming. “We are not only transferring PointsBet customers and technology to the Fanatics Underscoreg and Casino platform, but we have also welcomed a highly skilled team of dedicated leaders from PointsBet USA who are already making a positive impact on our operations.”

Launch blitz

Fanatics has been aggressively expanding its market presence in the last few months, and Illinois was the final state where licensing was a barrier to entry.

Kansas is the latest state to welcome Fanatics Underscoreg as a sports betting destination. Over the past two months, Fanatics has expanded to include Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New York, and North Carolina sports betting apps.

Fanatics executives have been working hard to establish their presence in the highly competitive legal sports betting markets in the United States after taking over from PointsBet.

Getting the Fanatics Underscoreg app

Downloading the Fanatics Underscoreg Illinois app will be a breeze. You can find it on the App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android, and desktop devices.

After downloading, Current PointsBet Illinois customers can easily transfer their email, log-in details, balances, open bets, bonus bets, and reward balance to their new Fanatics Underscoreg account. This simplifies the sign-up process for them.

Upon arrival, new Fanatics Underscoreg users will have the opportunity to receive $1,000 in Bonus Bets, mirroring the promotions offered in other American jurisdictions during the launch of Fanatics Underscoreg. This bonus for new users will be in addition to a variety of other sportsbook promotions available in Illinois.

In addition to the Fanatics Underscoreg, customers will have access to the company’s Rewards Program, “FanCash,” which offers up to 5% Cash Back on bets. This Cash Back can be used for Bonus Bets during future Fanatics experiences or redeemed for branded merchandise from Fanatics’ online store.

Competition will be tough

Fanatics Underscoreg is set to become the eighth sports betting site in Illinois, joining a competitive market filled with top players in the American sports betting industry. The hope is that there will be ample opportunities for success and that the newest Illinois sports betting app can secure a significant portion of the market.

In theory, there should be sufficient funds available. However, PointsBet accounted for only 4.3% of Illinois’s best sportsbooks’ total of $1.25 billion in wagers for January, amounting to $53.2 million.

Fanatics will strive to surpass PointsBet’s $586.7 million revenue from 2023. However, with strong competition from established brands like FanDuel, DraftKings, ESPN BET, BetMGM, and Caesars Underscoreg in Illinois, Fanatics may encounter challenges in gaining market share.
