Fanatics Underscoreg, one of our top sports betting sites, has successfully fulfilled its promise to launch in Arizona.

Fanatics Betting and Gaming in Arizona began accepting bets on April 4, following the approval of an Event Wagering license by the Arizona Department of Gaming just over two weeks prior.

Fanatics finalized the transformation of PointsBet Arizona’s product into the Fanatics brand thanks to an agreement with the Tonto Apache Tribe, who owns and operates the Mazatzal Hotel & Casino. This move marks Fanatics’ entry into the 18th sports betting market in Arizona.

Ari Borod, Chief Business Officer of Fanatics Betting & Gaming, expressed excitement about teaming up with the Tonto Apache Tribe and Mazatzal Hotel & Casino to introduce the Fanatics Underscoreg to Arizona. He believes that Arizona’s wide range of sports options, including baseball, hockey, golf, football, and racing, make it the perfect location for the most enjoyable online sportsbook experience.

Signing up

Fanatics Underscoreg can now be downloaded on iOS, Android, and desktop platforms in Arizona. Upon registration, new users will receive a generous welcome bonus of $1,000 in bonus bets, which equates to $100 in bonus bets per day for ten days. Residents of Arizona can also take advantage of various sportsbook promotions offered in the state.

Existing PointsBet account holders will have their email, login details, account balances, current bets, bonus bets, and rewards balance transferred to their new Fanatics account.

Arizona fans can benefit from the Fanatics Rewards Program by earning up to 5% Cash Back in “FanCash” to use for future Bonus Bets or shopping at the Fanatics online store.

The Arizona market

Fanatics joins a crowded and competitive Arizona sports betting apps market, where major players from across the U.S. are vying for dominance. FanDuel and DraftKings currently hold a combined 70% market share.

Arizona is a thriving sports betting market, consistently ranking among the top 10 states in the U.S. for legal sports betting. In 2023, Arizona sports betting sites generated a total of $6.5 billion in revenue and continued their strong performance into January.

Taking the opportunity

In 2024, the Arizona Department of Gaming sought out additional providers to complete their lineup of 20 sports betting options. One of the latest additions to the Arizona market is bet365, a new sportsbook that has recently launched.

Fanatics Underscoreg successfully utilized a license reserved for Arizona Tribes, forming a partnership that benefits both parties.

Tonto Apache Chairman Calvin Johnson stated that the Tribe’s partnership with Fanatics Betting & Gaming, a prominent player in the sports betting industry, will not only benefit the general welfare of tribal members but also have a positive impact on all citizens of Arizona.

Speaking of opportunity

Fanatics has been on a successful streak with recent launches, establishing a presence in key sports betting states over the past six weeks.

After its launch in Arizona, this app is now available in several other states, including Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, and the most recent addition, Illinois.

Fanatics has successfully assumed control of all PointsBet operations in America, achieving a significant milestone. The next challenge will be to establish a solid market presence in all jurisdictions.
