FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny 2” Campaign Kicks off Super Bowl Betting Period
FanDuel, an official sports betting partner of the National Football League and one of our top sports betting apps, is launching their FanDuel Kick of Destiny promotion in anticipation of the upcoming Super Bowl betting frenzy.
Kick of Destiny features Rob Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion and former NFL star turned TV analyst, attempting to kick a field goal at Super Bowl LVIII. In the previous year, participants had the opportunity to win a free bet by betting $10 on Gronkowski successfully hitting a 25-yard field goal. Winners would receive a free bet from North America’s premier sportsbook.
Even though Gronk’s attempt was unsuccessful, FanDuel still generously rewarded all participants in the promotion with a free bet. This year’s contest has undergone some modifications, with FanDuel and Gronkowski promising an enhanced experience for all involved.
Gronk admitted that missing the Kick of Destiny in last year’s Super Bowl was devastating for him. He told the team at FanDuel that he knew he could do better and was eager for a shot at redemption this year.
The contest
In 2024, FanDuel’s Kick of Destiny 2 event will allow customers to bet on whether Rob Gronkowski will successfully make or miss his field goal attempt before the Super Bowl kickoff in Las Vegas.
There is a $10 million prize pool available this year, equal to the amount from last year.
This year, customers have the opportunity to make a free pick on whether Gronk will succeed or fail on his field goal attempt using the FanDuel Underscoreg app. Those who make the correct guess will share $10,000,000 in bonus bets.
This year, there is no requirement to place a monetary bet in order to be eligible for the prize pool.
Renowned WWE star John Cena and actor Carl Weathers are now part of the FanDuel advertising campaign leading up to the Super Bowl event in February.
Seizing on Super Bowl betting
The Super Bowl is the most popular annual sports event for betting in the United States. In the previous year, a record number of 50.4 million adults, equivalent to about 20% of the population, placed bets totaling $15 billion on American sportsbooks, some of which are considered the top sports betting sites in the country.
The Super Bowl used to be a huge benefit for networks, advertisers, and the NFL. However, since the 2018 U.S. Supreme Court decision to lift the ban on sports betting, American sportsbooks, including top ones, have now joined the list of entities that greatly profit from the end of the NFL season.
The FanDuel leadership is eagerly looking forward to the results of this year’s Kick of Destiny campaign, recognizing the high level of engagement from customers during last year’s campaign. Executive Vice President of Marketing, Andrew Sneyd, noted the excitement surrounding the introduction of the Make or Miss free pick function and Rob’s quest for redemption. With Rob embodying the passionate and trailblazing spirit of FanDuel fans, the company is prepared to make history once again.
