Hard Rock Digital Partners Up With the NHL’s Florida Panthers
Hard Rock Digital, a leading sports betting site, and the only legal sports betting app in Florida, has officially partnered with the NHL’s Florida Panthers for sports betting. This marks the first professional team/sports betting provider partnership in the Florida market.
Hard Rock Digital’s brand, Hard Rock Bet, has initiated a new marketing campaign in the Florida sports betting market to grow its customer base. Partnering with a prominent professional sports team in the state is a promising step for a company looking to increase its brand recognition.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Panthers territory and team up with the club to enhance the hockey experience for fans,” said Nick Menas, Managing Director of Corporate Strategy at Hard Rock Digital. “Our Hard Rock Bet app offers thousands of betting options on sports globally, along with live streaming of NHL games every night. We are excited to provide hockey fans with unparalleled entertainment.”
What the deal includes
The multi-year partnership between the Panthers and Hard Rock Bet will mirror similar official sports betting agreements made across the nation. The partnership was officially launched on April 9 at a Panthers home game against the Ottawa Senators.
The agreement will cover standard signage, digital branding, and promotional opportunities for the Hard Rock Bet brand at the Amerant Bank Arena, home of the Florida Panthers.
Panthers fans can look forward to on-site activation opportunities both inside and outside the arena. The team has promised an improved online and on-site activation experience for the upcoming season.
In the future, Hard Rock Bet will play a significant role in the Florida Panthers hockey media. The presence of Hard Rock Digital will be evident across all Panthers’ media platforms, including television, radio, and online channels.
The partnership is expected to benefit both the Panthers, Hard Rock Bet, and hockey fans in the future.
Florida Panthers Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Thornton expressed his excitement about the new partnership with Hard Rock Bet, stating that it will enhance fan engagement and bring a fresh dynamic to hockey in South Florida and beyond.
Hard Rock has growth in its sights
Hard Rock Digital has faced challenges in capturing a significant portion of the growing U.S. legal sports betting market. While holding a strong position in Florida, the company has encountered difficulties in expanding its brand presence elsewhere.
The recent acquisition of a portion of 888’s U.S. assets by Hard Rock Bet could jumpstart the company’s growth strategy. Despite its limited presence in Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, and Virginia, 888 had intended to leave the U.S. market by 2025. This move allows Hard Rock Bet to enter major U.S. legal sports betting markets and expand its reach.
