PrizePicks, a major daily fantasy sports operator headquartered in Atlanta, recently announced a new partnership with the NHL’s Dallas Stars, enhancing its sponsorship efforts.

This marks PrizePicks’ initial partnership with an NHL team. The Dallas Stars now join a select group of North American professional teams and leagues that are official partners of the DFS brand, including the MLB’s Atlanta Braves, the North Carolina Courage of the National Women’s Soccer League, and the BIG3 basketball league.

The partnership is a significant opportunity for PrizePicks in the expanding Texas sports betting industry, as the leading DFS operator will undoubtedly strive to entice new customers just like the various Texas sportsbook promotions currently available from top sports betting sites in the state.

“We are excited to strengthen the PrizePicks brand in collaboration with the Dallas Stars franchise,” stated PrizePicks CEO and co-founder Adam Wexler in a press release. “Texas is a key market for us, with hockey being a rapidly growing segment. This partnership will help us enhance the fan experience on game days.”

Details of deal between PrizePicks, Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars/PrizePicks partnership deal focuses on exposure and enhancing the game experience. PrizePicks gains valuable visibility whenever the Stars play or are featured in the media, while the Stars benefit from a partner dedicated to keeping them in the spotlight both on and off the ice.

The press release states that PrizePicks will be showcased in commercials during local broadcasts of Stars’ games and will have the opportunity to provide exclusive VIP experiences to fans.

PrizePicks has obtained permission to feature Dallas Stars marks and logos on its website and in advertising materials. The DFS provider will be airing commercials during Stars’ broadcasts and will have the chance to showcase targeted signage in and around the NHL club’s home arena, including the digitally enhanced dasher boards at American Airlines Center.

PrizePicks has the opportunity to collaborate with one of the NHL’s top teams, establishing a partnership with a rapidly growing iconic franchise in Texas and a beloved sports team in the state.

Additionally, the Stars will benefit from a dependable sports betting partner that is dedicated to expanding its reputation while also increasing the visibility of the Stars’ brand nationwide. Teams have been motivated to partner with sports betting providers in order to enhance the fan experience, and the Stars can look forward to exclusive VIP perks and personalized promotions.

Brad Alberts, the president and CEO of the Stars, emphasized that enhancing the game day experience for fans is a key focus. He expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with PrizePicks and is eager to connect with fans in an innovative manner.

Building the brand

While PrizePicks is the top DFS provider in the U.S., it is not as well-known as its competitors. The recent partnership signed on Thursday aims to bridge this exposure gap.

PrizePicks is currently operational in 34 states in America and Canada. However, the company faced some setbacks recently when it was forced to halt operations in New York on Feb. 15 and was fined $15 million for operating without a license in the state.

PrizePicks was among three providers that were banned from the Florida market due to a second cease and desist order.

PrizePicks received a much-needed boost with the announcement of their partnership with the Dallas Stars on Thursday. This collaboration may be just the beginning of more partnerships for PrizePicks as they aim to establish themselves as a leading DFS platform in the North American market.
