SuperBook Sports, based in Las Vegas, is expanding quickly and has recently launched its services in Virginia, making it the ninth state where the company operates. Residents of Virginia now have access to SuperBook’s mobile product, with 16 different apps available for download.

Since 1986, SuperBook has been a prominent player in the Nevada sports betting industry. With its thrilling mobile platform now available in Virginia, the company also brings a wealth of experience serving American bettors.

Mark Lipparelli, CEO and Managing Partner of SuperBook Sports, expressed great satisfaction with the company’s ongoing expansion. He is excited about the launch in Virginia and believes that their established product will quickly become popular among sports bettors in the area. Lipparelli is confident that sports fans in Virginia will enjoy access to their favorite teams and engaging in some of the country’s top sports traditions.

You can now download the SuperBook Virginia sports betting app on both Android and iOS devices in Virginia. Additionally, a desktop version can be found at SuperBook.com.

Why Virginia?

Virginia has consistently proven to be a reliable legal sports betting market in the U.S. While it may not reach the same level of activity as states like New York, New Jersey, or Illinois, Virginia remains a solid contender, consistently ranking in the top 15 for monthly wagering activity in the country.

Jay Kornegay, Executive Vice President of Race & Sports Book Operations at SuperBook, stated that launching in Virginia will complement their expanding business in Maryland. He believes that with their experience and the enthusiasm of fans in the area, it will be a perfect match. Kornegay emphasized their wide range of offerings, promising great options for fans of teams like the Commanders, Ravens, Nationals, and their partners, the Orioles.

In the past year, Virginia experienced only one month with a sports betting handle below $300 million, which was in July. Gross revenues in the state have consistently surpassed $32 million every month since February 2022.

Although Virginia may not have the same level of attention as other legal sports betting jurisdictions, it is still a thriving market with ample opportunity for another provider to enter the market. SuperBook is poised to be the fortunate company to fill that void.

The growth trajectory

SuperBook, a prominent and reputable legal sports betting brand in the American market that may be unfamiliar to many, has experienced significant growth over the past year. Virginia now joins Maryland, Ohio, and Iowa as the fourth market that SuperBook has entered since October 2022.

Before that, SuperBook was established in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Jersey, and Tennessee.

The decision to expand to Virginia follows a trend of the provider focusing on established and lucrative legal state markets to introduce its brand. SuperBook is currently active in nine states, all of which rank among the top half of the most profitable sports betting markets in the nation.

Continuing to get its name out there

While SuperBook may not be the most well-known name in the overall U.S. legal sports betting industry for the average user, it is a top choice for experienced gamblers.

One of the main obstacles for SuperBook is establishing brand recognition in order to compete with more well-known Virginia sports betting apps such as FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Caesars.

Focusing on the largest and most prosperous legal sports betting markets in the nation is expected to aid in achieving that goal. By generating buzz through high-profile launches like in Virginia, the company aims to increase its visibility as it expands across the United States.
