The Michigan Wolverines, who are currently undefeated, are aiming to maintain their perfect record as they face off against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday. We have all the player props for the Michigan vs. Iowa college football game in Week 14, based on the top college football odds from our recommended college football betting sites.

Michigan, undefeated with a record of 12-0, is the frontrunner to win the Big Ten Championship according to College Football Championship odds. They have dominated most of their opponents this season. Iowa, with a record of 10-2, is the underdog hoping to prevent Michigan from making their third consecutive trip to the College Football Playoff.

Even though this game showcases two of the best defenses in the nation, it is not guaranteed that you should always bet on the Under, even when it comes to the less skilled Hawkeyes.

Here are our top player props for the Michigan vs. Iowa Big Ten Championship game, in addition to our predictions and expert picks. These props are based on college football odds from our recommended betting sites, with confidence ratings ranging from 1 to 5 stars.

Michigan vs. Iowa college football player props: Big Ten Championship

Blake Corum first touchdown scorer (+170 via FanDuel

Let me clarify something from the start: betting on the game’s first touchdown scorer is always a risky venture, as it is a highly volatile market in college football. However, in this case, we are confident that this is one of the safest bets you can make in this market, and we highly recommend it.

Corum is not only the leader in rushing touchdowns with 22, but he has also been consistently scoring the first touchdown in Michigan’s games. In the last five games, he has been the first player to reach the end zone for either team, and he has scored his team’s first offensive touchdown in 10 out of 12 games this season.

Given that the team total for Iowa is set at 6.5 points by our top sportsbooks, it is likely that the first touchdown scorer on Saturday will be from the maize and blue team. Corum is the safest bet for this, especially with the appealing +170 price at FanDuel.

For those seeking alternative betting options at our top college football betting sites, Allen Byron recommends a favorable +140 bet at DraftKings for Corum to score two touchdowns during Saturday’s game, as highlighted in his top bets for Conference Championship Week.

Another option is to place a bet on Corum to score the first two touchdowns of the game, with odds of +490 at FanDuel. He has accomplished this feat twice during the current season.

J.J. McCarthy Under 1.5 passing TDs (-140 via DraftKings

This is not a criticism of McCarthy, who has provided stability for Michigan’s 13th-ranked scoring offense (37.6 PPG). However, he has not been the primary contributor to the recent scoring.

After throwing four touchdown passes against Michigan State on Oct. 21, McCarthy has only managed to throw one touchdown in his last four games. Despite this, the junior quarterback is still averaging 171 passing yards on 22 attempts per game during this time.

Despite Iowa’s defense possibly receiving excessive praise due to their easy schedule, the Hawkeyes have only given up an average of one total touchdown per game to FBS opponents, which is the fewest in the country. Additionally, they have only allowed two passing touchdowns in their last six games.

There is a strong possibility that McCarthy could finish Saturday’s game without scoring any touchdowns, as he has done in three of his last four games. With FanDuel offering Under 1.5 TDs at -174, we are willing to take the -140 odds from DraftKings and bet against a rare two-touchdown performance.

Deacon Hill Over 149.5 passing yards (+450 via DraftKings

I admit I’m doubtful about the Hawkeyes offense like everyone else, and this game will be their biggest challenge so far. However, doesn’t the odds of Hill reaching a relatively low number seem overly generous?

Michigan’s defense is considered one of the top in the nation, however, it has been giving up an average of 155.3 passing yards per game. In five out of 12 games, they have allowed over 150 passing yards, including the last two weeks. Additionally, they have given up between 124 and 149 passing yards in five other games.

At the start of the year, Hill was a backup player. However, as the season progressed, his playing time increased. In the last three weeks, he has recorded his highest passing attempts, with an average of 161.3 yards per game. He has surpassed the 150-yard mark twice during this period.

The game plan for Saturday’s game is likely to involve Iowa passing frequently in order to keep up with Michigan, giving Hill plenty of chances to improve his statistics despite the anticipated lopsided loss. While there is a clear element of risk involved, the appealing odds at DraftKings for Hill to reach a decent total are difficult to overlook.

Player props for the Michigan vs. Iowa game were set on Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
