The top golfers in the world are heading into a major tournament at Valhalla Golf Club in peak form. Our PGA Championship power rankings are designed to identify the elite players based on the odds from our top golf betting sites.

According to the PGA Championship odds, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka are the top picks, with all three having recently won their last professional tournaments.

Furthermore, Scheffler emerged victorious at the 2024 Masters, Keopka is the reigning PGA Champion from the previous year, and McIlroy clinched the PGA Championship title when it was last hosted at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Ky., in 2014.

Therefore, it will be a challenge to select from the top contenders when making your PGA Championship selections, whether for your PGA Championship pool or DFS golf lineups. Our PGA Championship power rankings are here to provide assistance!

2024 PGA Championship power rankings

The odds were last updated on Monday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

10. Sahith Theegala

Despite having only one career PGA Tour victory and finishing T-45 in the Masters, as well as tying for 40th in his debut at the PGA Championship last May, Theegala manages to secure the No. 10 spot in our PGA Championship power rankings.

The golfer from California excels at putting and is also highly skilled with their irons.

FanDuel offers the best odds at +7000.

9. Jon Rahm

Rahm’s PGA Championship odds were around +1000 in December but have been increasing steadily since he joined LIV Golf in January. He finished tied for 45th in the Masters and has yet to win in his first seven events of the LIV season.

Gamblers and sports pool participants can take advantage of the low public opinion. Despite being a two-time major winner and still one of the best in the world, this player is being offered at a great discount this week due to the strong performances of other top players in the field.

Top odds: +1800 offered by BetMGM

8. Joaquin Niemann

Following his victory on the DP World Tour in Australia in November, Niemann went on to win two out of the first three LIV events of 2024. He consistently finished in the top 10 of the last four events on the rebel circuit and also managed a T-22 result in the Masters after receiving a special invitation.

He has been excelling in his game with powerful iron shots and impressive driving distance. He will have to lean on these strengths to navigate the challenging conditions at Valhalla.

Top odds: +3500 on bet365

7. Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau led the opening round of the Masters and ultimately finished T-6. Despite only having a top finish of fourth on the LIV series this year, his performance should not diminish his chances this week.

DeChambeau has consistently been a strong driver of the ball, excelling with his irons and showcasing his skills as a top-notch putter on challenging greens found in major tournaments.

6. Xander Schauffele

Backing or even suggesting Schauffele to win a major is becoming more challenging, but he secured a runner-up finish in the Wells Fargo Championship, marking his eighth top-10 result in 11 events this year.

Schauffele excelled in strokes gained: approach last week, leading the field, and he also ranked second in SG: tee-to-green behind McIlroy. However, he was unable to keep up with the putting and short game of the eventual winner at Quail Hollow.

Schauffele is a reliable choice for those looking to make the cut and secure a strong finish, offering a safe option for cautious players.

5. Ludvig Aberg

Aberg made his Masters debut in April, finishing as the runner-up behind Scheffler. He aims to achieve similar success in his first appearance at the PGA Championship.

Having won on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, this player is well-rounded and solid under pressure. While his odds may be low for a newcomer, he could be a surprising pick in pools with more established favorites.

4. Wyndham Clark

I’m already supporting Clark with my PGA Championship expert selections, and his subpar performance in last week’s Wells Fargo Championship only solidifies him as a top recommendation here.

Despite his stumble last week, the 2023 U.S. Open winner is still averaging 2.41 strokes gained total per round over his last 16 rounds. Don’t underestimate him.

Top odds: +4000 on FanDuel

3. Brooks Koepka

Koepka, the defending PGA Champion, had odds ranging from +1600 to +2000 for most of the past year. However, his odds significantly decreased after his win at LIV Golf’s Singapore event a couple of weeks ago, solidifying him as a strong contender for his sixth major championship.

While Koepka’s T-45 finish in the Masters may not give him the statistical backing of other top LIV stars in these rankings, we don’t need numbers to support Brooks.

Top odds: +1400 on bet365

2. Rory McIlroy

Just a week ago, McIlroy’s odds for the PGA Championship were as high as +1500, and they were still at +1000 on Saturday. Although his dominant win in the Wells Fargo Championship has reduced some of the value, he has shown enough promise to suggest that he may finally end his major drought at Valhalla after a decade.

Last week, McIlroy’s putting average was 1.06 strokes gained, a skill that has eluded him in majors. Having conquered these greens before, he is now brimming with confidence as he prepares for the week ahead.

Top odds: +800 at BetMGM

1. Scottie Scheffler

Scheffler’s fifth-place finish in the Texas Children’s Houston Open was his least impressive result in his last five events. Among his four wins during that time are the Masters, The Players Championship, and two Signature Events – the Arnold Palmer Invitational and RBC Heritage.

There is no argument against selecting Scheffler this week. However, it’s important to note that the odds are high, with a 20% chance of him winning again.
