Scottie Scheffler’s consistent success is making golf betting less exciting, but our U.S. Open power rankings are utilizing odds from top golf betting sites to assist with your major pools and DFS golf lineups this week.

Scottie Scheffler, the top-ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking, has emerged victorious in five tournaments this year, all of them taking place after mid-March. Despite facing tough competition, Scheffler has been the favorite in each of these wins, which have occurred over his last eight events.

We are once again witnessing him in the third major of 2024, the U.S. Open, with odds of around +300. These odds suggest a 25.00% chance of winning and would result in a profit of only $30 on a $10 bet if he were to win outright.

However, we can utilize the golf odds provided by our top sports betting websites to compile our U.S. Open power rankings, which can assist in creating golf pools and constructing golf DFS rosters.

2024 U.S. Open power rankings

The current odds as of Monday at 8:10 p.m. ET.

10. Keegan Bradley

In the 2014 U.S. Open held at Pinehurst No. 2 in Moore County, N.C., Bradley finished tied for fourth place. Although he had a disappointing T-43 finish in the recent Memorial Tournament, just two weeks prior he secured a strong T-2 in the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Bradley has seen improvement in all critical areas, especially in accuracy off the tee. He currently ranks 21st on the PGA Tour this season in birdie-or-better percentage from distances of 200-plus yards.

9. Corey Conners

Conners had a T-20 finish last week at Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village Golf Club, where he ranked second in the field with 1.09 strokes gained: around-the-green per round. The course is designed to mimic U.S. Open conditions, making Conners’ strong short game performance particularly promising.

Top odds: +8000 at Caesars Palace

8. Hideki Matsuyama

After showcasing his exceptional iron play in a T-8 finish last week, Matsuyama is now aiming for his second win of the season since his victory at the Genesis Invitational in mid-February. The former Masters champion placed fourth in the U.S. Open in 2022 and tied for 35th at Pinehurst in 2014, demonstrating some experience at this venue.

7. Ludvig Aberg

Aberg’s first appearance in a major tournament was at the 2024 Masters where he finished in second place behind Scheffler. This came after he placed eighth in his debut at The Players Championship. Unfortunately, he missed the cut in his first attempt at the PGA Championship, which can be partly attributed to an injury that caused him to withdraw from the Wells Fargo Championship the week prior.

The golfer ranked sixth in the Official World Golf Ranking is currently in good form after finishing tied for fifth last week, indicating that he has fully recovered from his injury.

Top odds: +2200 at Caesars Palace

6. Brooks Koepka

Koepka, who has won the U.S. Open twice, recently placed ninth in the LIV Golf Houston event. Despite finishing in the middle of the pack in the 48-man field, he ended the tournament with the best round on Sunday, shooting a score of minus-7.

Koepka failed to showcase his usual major-winning form at the Masters (T-45) and PGA Championship (T-26), but it would be unfair to rank the five-time major champion any lower than this.

Top chances: +2200 on FanDuel

5. Xander Schauffele

Despite finishing T-8 in the Signature Event at Muirfield Village GC last week, Schauffele remains at the No. 2 spot in the OWGR. However, his performance with his irons and wedges was inconsistent throughout the week, raising concerns as he prepares for the challenging conditions of the upcoming U.S. Open.

He has finished in the top 10 six times in seven appearances at this major championship, so we shouldn’t completely overlook him. However, he will likely be a popular choice as the most recent major champion.

4. Collin Morikawa

Morikawa’s solid performance last week earned him a second-place finish, showcasing his consistent and flawless game this season. He has been one of the most accurate drivers in the field in his last four events. The only hesitation in considering him for your roster is that he has not secured a victory since the 2023 Zozo Championship against a weaker field in October.

Morikawa has the opportunity to earn extra money by finishing in the top 10, making it a more enticing play.

The best odds are +1400 at Caesars.

3. Rory McIlroy

McIlroy is leading the PGA Tour this season in birdie-or-better percentage from 200-plus yards, while also ranking 17th in scrambling percentage and first in driving distance among all PGA Tour golfers in his last 16 measured rounds.

In 2014, the Northern Irishman finished tied for 23rd at Pinehurst No. 2. This could present a great opportunity to acquire him at a lower price, especially after he was heavily favored to win both the PGA Championship and the Masters.

2. Bryson DeChambeau

DeChambeau is the only golfer who could surpass McIlroy in driving distance if he played the necessary rounds to qualify. Despite only the first two majors being a true test for the 2020 U.S. Open champion, he finished as runner-up in the PGA Championship and placed T-6 in the Masters.

Since his victory, he has not been able to break into the top 20 of the U.S. Open leaderboard. However, his performance in the biggest two tournaments of the year so far cannot be overlooked.

Top odds: +2000 at BetMGM

1. Scottie Scheffler

The only reasons to avoid betting on or including Scheffler in pools are his popularity and short odds.

This sums up everything one needs to know about the man who has earned more than $45 million in tournament winnings since the start of 2023.
