During a unique MLB game at a renowned baseball stadium, the San Francisco Giants will pay tribute to a baseball icon as they face off against the St. Louis Cardinals. Check out our top player props for the Giants vs. Cardinals game, featuring the most favorable MLB odds.

The recent loss of Giants legend Willie Mays adds significance to the matchup between the San Francisco Giants (36-38) and St. Louis Cardinals (36-36) at the historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Ala. Mays, known as “the Say Hey Kid,” was among the many MLB legends who have played at this historic field.

Scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET on FOX, this unique game will celebrate the legacy of the Negro Leagues and honor Mays, who expressed his gratitude to MLB, the Giants, the Cardinals, and the fans attending Rickwood or watching the game. Mays hoped that the event would be memorable for everyone, especially the children, who he hoped would find inspiration in the occasion.

Giants vs. Cardinals expert picks

Heliot Ramos Over 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐⭐

On a day dedicated to celebrating Mays, widely regarded as the greatest baseball player of all time, it seems fitting to support a Giants center fielder. Heliot Ramos not only aligns with the narrative I believe in, but he has also been San Francisco’s most dynamic hitter since joining the lineup in May.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer, leading the team with nine home runs. His performance in June has been outstanding, boasting a .364 batting average and .727 slugging percentage while hitting seven home runs in just 16 games. Cardinals pitcher Andre Pallante may be in for a tough challenge, as he heavily relies on his four-seamer which Ramos has been hitting well with a .342 average and .737 slugging percentage.

At our other top sportsbooks, this identical prop bet is listed at -115, suggesting a 53.49% chance of winning according to our odds converter. However, our payout is $22.50 for a $10 wager.

Keaton Winn Over 2.5 earned runs allowed ⭐⭐⭐⭐

San Francisco will rely on Ramos to provide strong hitting in order to stay competitive in this game. This is not due to St. Louis’ intimidating lineup, but rather because Keaton Winn has struggled significantly this season. The 26-year-old pitcher has an ERA of 6.66, resembling an Iron Maiden song more than a professional baseball player.

In 11 starts this season, Winn has surrendered 39 earned runs and eight home runs in a total of 52 2/3 innings. He has struggled to pitch six full innings in his recent starts, allowing 27 earned runs in just 18 2/3 innings over his last five starts since May 4.

Considering Winn has not allowed less than three earned runs since April, this bet stands out. Despite only suggesting a 43.86% chance of winning, it offers a $12.80 profit on a $10 wager.

The most favorable odds are +128 at bet365.

Alec Burleson Over 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐

In addition to the Over on Winn’s earned runs allowed, there is a prop supporting Alec Burleson to have a strong performance in Birmingham. Apart from Masyn Winn, Burleson has been one of the most dependable hitters for St. Louis this season, boasting a .274/.305/.444 slash line.

I chose not to make a Winn-Winn joke with Masyn facing Keaton because of Burleson’s impressive performance against Winn’s most frequently used pitch, the split-finger. Winn relies on this pitch 40.8% of the time, and while it can be difficult to hit, Burleson has a batting average of .333 and a .500 slugging percentage against it this season.

This prop is priced at -110 at our other top sportsbooks, making it a great value that should not be missed. The -110 odds suggest a 52.38% chance of hitting the Over, but our price offers an $11 profit on a $10 bet.
