The two-time All-Star had an outstanding June, hitting .300/.359/.656 with 59 total bases in 24 games. He has carried that momentum into July, accumulating six total bases in three games.

Devers has been averaging 2.4 bases per game since June, so I anticipate he will excel against Nestor Cortes. Cortes heavily relies on his four-seamer, throwing it 46.6% of the time, but Devers has been hitting them well with a .616 SLG, according to Baseball Savant. Gleyber Torres Under 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Certainly, it’s not fair to place the blame solely on any one Yankee player for the team’s struggles, but Gleyber Torres has definitely underperformed this season. The two-time All-Star has a disappointing slash line of .221/.295/.343 and has shown no improvement, with a .218 batting average last month and a 1-for-11 start to July.

Torres has been averaging 1.6 hits, runs, and RBIs per game this season, but has only managed two in his last three outings, with zero in back-to-back games. He will now be going up against Tanner Houck, who is considered a contender for the MLB Cy Young award.

Houck has been exceptional in limiting opponents to two earned runs or less in 12 out of 17 starts, relying heavily on his slider which he uses 41.8% of the time. Torres has struggled against this pitch, batting only .172 with a .259 slugging percentage this season. Aaron Judge Over 1.5 total bases ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I may sound a bit wild, but I’m putting my money on Judge to outperform Boston. Despite going hitless in consecutive games against the Cincinnati Reds, he is currently priced at -350 at Caesars to win AL MVP for a good reason.

He has been consistently performing well, starting July with a three-hit game and a home run against the Reds. In June, he had a slash line of .409/.514/.864 and accumulated 89 total bases in May. Since the beginning of May, he has been averaging three total bases per game.

After struggling in his last two games and facing Boston’s Tanner Houck on the mound, this is the best opportunity in weeks for Judge to surpass 1.5 total bases. Betting on this outcome could result in a $9.01 profit on a $10 wager. Despite Houck’s skills, Judge has a .833 or higher slugging percentage against three of the four pitches he throws.
