Germany and Serbia have both qualified for the 2024 Olympics and are set to compete against each other in the gold-medal match at the FIBA World Cup, according to the most recent FIBA World Cup odds.

Fans of basketball will finally have the chance to witness the highly anticipated showdown between the USA and Canada in the bronze-medal game, just as many had predicted.

Both Serbia and Germany caused major upsets in the semifinals, setting up a showdown in the gold-medal game at the FIBA World Cup. If you’re interested in betting on the bronze-medal game between Canada and USA, we have you covered.

Serbia pulled off a surprising victory over Canada, despite being a 5.5-point underdog, while Germany shocked the USA as a 10.5-point underdog. With this win, Germany remains the only undefeated team in the FIBA World Cup. Dennis Schroder has praised the team as the best he has ever played for, both in international competition and the NBA.

Can Germany keep their undefeated streak alive and clinch the gold medal with the assistance of Schroder and the talented Wagner Brothers? Alternatively, will Serbia and Bogdan Bogdanovic have a say in determining the final result?

Take a look at our analysis of the most recent FIBA World Cup odds, provided by our top sports betting sites.

FIBA World Cup odds 2023: Favorite

Germany (-115 via Caesars)

Germany was initially considered a long shot with odds of +5000 to win the FIBA World Cup, but their undefeated record and victory over the USA have catapulted them to the status of favorite.

Our top sports betting sites consider this team a slight favorite to win the FIBA World Cup, especially with key players like Franz Wagner returning from injury and Dennis Schroder, Moritz Wagner, Daniel Theis, and Andreas Obst leading the charge.

FIBA World Cup odds 2023: Contender

Serbia (+100 via BetMGM)

I share the same sentiment as Serbia’s head coach Svetislav Pešić. Instead of dwelling on the absence of Nikola Jokic, who is currently considered the best basketball player in the world, let’s shift our attention to the players who are making valuable contributions to the Serbian team.

Bogdanovic, a member of the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA, has been on fire in the FIBA World Cup. He scored 21 points against Lithuania in the quarterfinals and 23 points against Canada in the semifinals. Another NBA player making waves for Serbia is 20-year-old Nikola Jovic from the Miami Heat. Jovic has been a valuable asset to the team. Rumors have circulated that he may be part of a potential trade involving Damian Lillard going to the Portland Trail Blazers.

While Serbia may not have as many NBA players as Germany, the team is still strong with seasoned EuroLeague players such as Stefan Jovic, a skilled point guard with excellent court vision, and Nikola Milutinov, a dominant post player at center.

At the start of the tournament, the team’s odds were around +1200, but they dropped to +800 before facing Canada in the semifinals. Following Serbia’s upset over Canada and Germany’s victory over the USA, the team’s odds have now improved to +100 at BetMGM.
