After South Carolina was named the champions of the 2024 women’s NCAA Tournament, we are now turning our attention to the 2025 Women’s March Madness odds from our top March Madness betting sites.

After defeating Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the national championship game, the South Carolina Gamecocks are poised to become the next dominant force in women’s college basketball. Head coach Dawn Staley, with three titles under her belt, has established a program that is favored to win it all again in 2025 according to the top sports betting sites.

Clark has left for the WNBA as the top pick by the Indiana Fever, leaving a vacancy for the best player in women’s college basketball. Paige Bueckers of the UConn Huskies is a top contender for this title, with odds just behind South Carolina. Geno Auriemma is aiming for his 12th title with the team.

The most significant offseason news has been TCU’s acquisition of former LSU guard Hailey Van Lith through the transfer portal. However, the Horned Frogs also saw Haley Cavinder change her commitment to Miami, increasing the pressure on Van Lith to excel in Fort Worth.

South Carolina is favored to repeat as champions in the latest 2025 Women’s March Madness odds. Take a look at the updated betting lines.

Favorites to win 2025 Women’s March Madness

South Carolina (+180 via DraftKings)

South Carolina achieved a perfect season in women’s college basketball, becoming the 10th team to do so and the first since UConn in 2015-16 by defeating Iowa 87-75 to win the national championship. With senior standout Kamilla Cardoso moving on to the WNBA after being named SEC Defensive Player of the Year, the Gamecocks will have a gap to fill in their frontcourt, but it is not expected to have a significant impact on their performance.

Staley’s team is stacked with talent and is anticipated to bring back most of her players for the upcoming season. Eight out of nine players who logged over 10 minutes per game are expected to return, including standout guards Te-Hina Paopao and Raven Johnson. Adding to their strength, rising star MiLaysia Fulwiley is projected to continue her impressive growth in her second year, and freshman Tessa Johnson showcased her skills in the championship game with a stellar performance of 19 points coming off the bench.

With Staley’s impressive coaching skills and talent for recruiting top players, it’s no surprise that the Gamecocks are already favored to win. The +145 odds at FanDuel suggest a 40.82% chance of South Carolina repeating their success, as calculated by our odds calculator.

UConn (+475 via BetMGM)

Bueckers is back for her redshirt senior season at UConn, making the Huskies the only team in the nation with a former women’s Wooden Award winner on their roster. Despite injuries in her sophomore and junior years, Bueckers returned strong last season, averaging 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 41.6% from beyond the arc.

If Bueckers remains injury-free, UConn has a strong chance of winning their first national championship since 2016. Despite losing Aaliyah Edwards, a potential top five pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Coach Auriemma’s team is filled with young, talented players. The supporting cast for Bueckers in the 2024-25 season will be led by sophomores Ashlynn Shade and KK Arnold.

USC (+1100 via DraftKings)

Following their loss to the Huskies in the Elite Eight as a top seed, the USC Trojans’ chances of winning the championship in 2025 are not as high as anticipated. JuJu Watkins, the star player for the Trojans, is poised to become the leading scorer in college basketball, taking over from Clark with an impressive freshman season average of 27.1 points.

In her first three seasons as head coach, Lindsay Gottlieb has consistently elevated USC’s performance, with high expectations for winning the Pac-12 in the upcoming season. With Stanford Cardinal standout Cameron Brink moving on to the WNBA, USC is poised for success. Watkins showed immense potential as a freshman and with another year of growth, she could reach even greater heights.
