Women’s Wooden Award Odds 2024: Clark Caps Career with Second Straight Award
According to the latest college basketball odds, Caitlin Clark was the top pick to win the 2024 Women’s Wooden Award. The star player from the Iowa Hawkeyes successfully defended her title, claiming the award for the second consecutive season.
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, the all-time leading scorer in college basketball history, holds multiple NCAA records and has now become just the seventh player to win the Women’s Wooden Award multiple times, solidifying her place among the elite.
Despite Clark and the Hawkeyes losing the women’s national championship game for the second consecutive season, she revolutionized the sport and garnered unprecedented attention for it. This year’s women’s NCAA Tournament set numerous viewing records, drawing a larger audience to the games largely due to the excitement of the Hawkeyes’ All-American player, Clark.
The senior sharpshooter was the clear front-runner throughout the year to claim the 2024 Wooden Award, as indicated by our March Madness betting sites. With this victory, she became just the seventh player to win the award multiple times, joining a prestigious group that includes Seimone Augustus, Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Brittney Griner, Breanna Stewart, and Sabrina Ionescu. All six of these players were selected as the No. 1 overall picks in the WNBA draft, a feat that is also expected for Clark in 2024, as she is already considered one of the favorites for the WNBA MVP award.

This year, Clark likely broke another college basketball record. As a three-time unanimous first-team All-American, she became the first Division-I player to achieve 3,800-plus points, 1,000-plus assists, and 950-plus rebounds. Additionally, she holds the all-time scoring record, the single-season scoring record, and the single-season 3-pointers record in Division-I basketball.
After winning the Wooden Award last season, she elevated her game even further this year, leading the nation in points per game (31.6), assists (8.9), and 3-pointers (5.2) while shooting 37.8% from beyond the arc and contributing 7.4 rebounds. She has garnered more talent and media attention than any college basketball player in recent years, single-handedly propelling the Iowa program to a title they likely would not have reached the Sweet 16 without her.
Clark has solidified herself as one of the all-time greats in basketball history, making it no surprise when she secured the Wooden Award once again this year. With the Fever holding the No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark mania is anticipated to make its way to Indiana. Despite not being officially on the roster, the Fever currently have the sixth best odds to win the WNBA Championship.
Women’s Wooden Award odds movement
Clark was initially listed as a +100 favorite at DraftKings to win her second consecutive Wooden Award, and by late December, she was still at a respectable -140. However, her odds quickly dropped after an impressive start to 2024, with the Hawkeyes star trading at -250 or lower from January onwards.
Her impressive performance in the early season was evident in the increasing odds of preseason favorites Paige Bueckers (UConn) and Angel Reese (LSU), who had odds shorter than +400 before the season started. Following four consecutive games with 35 points or more in mid-December, it seemed as though no one would be able to catch up to Clark.
