Anytime and First Touchdown Scorer Predictions for Monday Night Football
On Monday Night Football, we have two additional games that offer us more chances to make predictions on anytime and first touchdown scorers, as well as to search for the longest NFL odds on our top sports betting apps.
Even though our touchdown picks in Week 1 only went 2-for-5, we still managed to make a +7.5-unit profit, showcasing the unpredictability of the betting market. After 14 out of 16 games in Week 2, our season record stands at 2-11, resulting in a +2.5 unit loss. It’s not ideal, but we can make a comeback with some successful picks to finish the week. Anytime touchdown scorer predictions
Saints vs. Panthers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Miles Sanders, Panthers, RB (+180 via DraftKings)
Sanders is projected to have the second-most touchdowns in the Monday night game between the Saints and Panthers, with only Jamaal Williams ahead of him. The best odds for this Monday Night Football prop bet can be found at DraftKings at +180, while BetRivers has the lowest odds at +125.
In Bryce Young’s NFL debut last week, the Panthers relied heavily on their running game. While the workload was evenly spread among the players, Sanders stood out as the most effective with 18 carries and four receptions for a total of 98 yards. Despite not scoring a touchdown, Sanders’ dual-threat skills are expected to be utilized more as Young gets more comfortable, leading to increased red-zone opportunities for Carolina.
Dolphins vs. Patriots anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots, RB 2+ touchdowns (+850 via FanDuel) ✖️
Despite Ezekiel Elliott making his debut with the New England Patriots, Rhamondre Stevenson continued to lead the backfield, playing 73% of the snaps last week. Stevenson had 12 carries for 25 yards, but also caught all six of his targets for an additional 64 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles.
I appreciate the versatility of this bet, which involves New England as a 2.5-point underdog at home against the Miami Dolphins and has the potential for two or more touchdowns. Miami has the lowest run-stop win rate in the NFL after just one week, allowing three rushing touchdowns in their Week 1 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. Given these statistics, it’s clear why Stewart Serena is confident in Stevenson’s yardage total for NFL Week 2 player props.
Stevenson has the best chance of scoring an anytime touchdown on Sunday Night Football with odds of +130 from Caesars. However, you can aim higher with FanDuel offering odds of +850 for two or more scores. BetMGM also has the same prop at +400.
Bears vs. Buccaneers anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Khalil Herbert, Bears, RB (+240 via DraftKings) ✖️
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers surprised everyone by defeating the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, however, they did allow a receiving touchdown to running back Alexander Mattison during the game. Additionally, their run-stop win rate ranked in the middle of the pack at 16th.
The Bucs have now become 3-point favorites in Week 2 NFL odds after initially being 1.5-point underdogs. This shift provides some optimism for the Chicago Bears, who were beaten by the Green Bay Packers in Week 1.
In their recent loss, the Bears evenly distributed backfield duties. Khalil Herbert, the experienced player, played 36% of the snaps and had nine carries and three receptions on five targets. Despite rookie Roschon Johnson scoring a touchdown on one of his five carries, Week 2 predictions suggest that Herbert will continue to get more opportunities and has the best chance of scoring among the Bears’ running backs.
DraftKings offers the best odds at +240, while Caesars is only offering +175.
Vikings vs. Eagles anytime touchdown scorer prediction: Boston Scott, Eagles, RB (+350 via FanDuel) ✖️
All attention and wagers are focused on Eagles running back D’Andre Swift as he is expected to take on the majority of the backfield duties with Kenneth Gainwell unavailable for Thursday Night Football. Despite Swift’s anytime touchdown odds being as high as +160 on FanDuel, it may still be worth considering in a game where the Eagles are favored by 7 points and have an implied team total of 28 points. However, better value may be found in the odds for sixth-year rusher Scott, available on FanDuel.
Gainwell had the most carries for the Eagles in their recent victory against the New England Patriots, with 14 attempts. Quarterback Jalen Hurts had nine rushing attempts, while Scott and Swift only had one each. Despite this, Swift is priced at +160 for scoring a touchdown at any time, while Rashaad Penny, who was inactive last week, has better odds at +275 to score in Week 2 according to BetMGM.
According to projections for Thursday night, Swift is expected to score 0.3 touchdowns, while Penny and Scott are both projected for 0.2 TDs. However, despite Scott’s longer tenure in head coach Nick Sirianni’s system and his 10 rushing touchdowns in the last two years, he is priced higher than his teammates. It would be wise to capitalize on the better odds for the less popular player in this situation.

First touchdown scorer predictions
Browns vs. Steelers first touchdown scorer prediction: Nick Chubb, Browns, RB (+450 via FanDuel)
Cleveland is favored by 2 points on the road, and although Allen Byron predicts Pittsburgh will cover in the Browns vs. Steelers matchup, I believe Cleveland will come out strong based on the Week 1 performances of both teams. This leads us to Nick Chubb, who is the favorite to score a rushing touchdown in Monday’s game, with odds as low as +340 on BetMGM. Chubb is also projected to score 0.6 rushing touchdowns in a predicted Cleveland victory.
In the last week’s victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Chubb carried the ball 18 times for 106 yards and caught all four of his targets for an additional 21 yards. Despite sitting out most of the late stages of the game, Chubb made a significant impact. With Amari Cooper, the Browns’ top wide receiver, not expected to be at full health on Monday, it is likely that we will see an increased focus on the rushing attack led by Chubb.
Raiders vs. Bills first touchdown scorer prediction: Josh Allen, Bills, QB (+750 via DraftKings) ✖️
At times, it’s necessary to consider the motivation factor when betting on the touchdown market.
This week, the first player under scrutiny is Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Every year, he is considered a contender for the MVP title, but in the beginning of the 2026 season, he threw three interceptions in a surprising loss to the New York Jets. The game also saw Aaron Rodgers leaving early in the first quarter. However, Allen has historically struggled against the Jets, the game was played away from home, and the weather conditions were unfavorable.
I expect Allen to display some confidence in the Bills’ home opener and rely on his running ability in the early stages of the game, as the Bills are heavily favored by 8.5 points.
Allen is the second-shortest favorite in the market for Raiders vs. Bills, with odds of +750 on DraftKings and a lower price of +550 on Caesars.
