Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Chiefs, RB ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Top odds available: +600 at BetMGM

During the NFC Championship game two weeks ago, I predicted that Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery would be my top choice for an anytime touchdown scorer. My prediction came true in the first quarter, and Montgomery went on to gain 113 scrimmage yards.

In Super Bowl 58, the Chiefs are once again looking to utilize their short-yardage threat, Edwards-Helaire. Despite being a former first-round pick, he has not scored a rushing touchdown since Week 3 and has only one receiving touchdown since then. However, he has been averaging a career-low 3.2 yards per attempt and 4.7 attempts per game. Despite this, he has managed to gain 12 first downs on just 70 total attempts in 15 regular-season games, and an additional three first downs in three playoff games.

Additionally, it is crucial to analyze the 49ers’ recent performance in terms of rush defense throughout the season. Despite being one of the top rush defenses during the regular season, San Francisco has struggled in the postseason, allowing 262 rushing yards in just two games with an average of 5.35 yards per carry.

I believe CEH will be able to take advantage of the weaknesses in the Niners’ defense just like Montgomery did in a recent game, even though it was in a losing effort.

No, I’m not worried about Edwards-Helaire’s limited status on the Super Bowl injury report because of an illness.

Kadarius Toney, Chiefs, WR

Editor’s note: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Toney is not anticipated to participate in the Super Bowl.

I’ll be honest, there’s a significant possibility that Toney won’t even see the field in the Super Bowl on Sunday. In fact, he’s not expected to score any touchdowns. However, I’m here to tell you that there is still a chance.

The New York Giants’ former first-round pick had a turbulent season, to put it mildly. Toney ended the regular season with only 27 receptions (out of 38 targets) for 169 yards and one touchdown. He has not played since Week 15, where he caught two passes out of four targets for just five yards. It is certainly challenging to produce with Patrick Mahomes as your quarterback.

Head coach Andy Reid and the Chiefs have stood by Toney through thick and thin, and who doesn’t appreciate a fairy-tale conclusion?

Despite his limited playing time this year, Toney managed to receive 11 carries, although he only gained 31 yards with a long of 14. It is worth noting that five of his rushing attempts occurred in the red zone. In the NFC Championship game, the Niners allowed a 42-yard rushing touchdown to Lions receiver Jameson Williams, showcasing the effectiveness of gadget plays called by Reid, one of the best in the NFL.

Just to clarify, we’re recommending placing a small bet on this outcome, as we’ve found a particularly high price at BetMGM. DraftKings has set Toney’s odds of scoring a touchdown in Super Bowl 58 at +950. By placing a $10 bet, we could potentially earn an additional $25 in profit with BetMGM.

By utilizing BetMGM’s 58% pregame profit boost, the odds of +1200 can be increased to +1896.
