In their lone game this season as road underdogs, Cincinnati covered the spread by beating the 49ers 31-17. Despite a regression in defense in their recent loss to the Texans, we believe this is an outlier compared to the Bengals’ overall success in the past month.
Despite the absence of Tee Higgins, I anticipate a strong showing from the Cincinnati offense to keep the game close on Thursday night, with a minimum margin of within a field goal. Both DraftKings and FanDuel have the Bengals listed at +3.5, but the -108 odds at DraftKings offer better value compared to FanDuel’s -110.

Under 46.5 (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
The overall trend for the season has been leaning towards the Under in this match-up between Cincinnati and Baltimore. Both teams have been more successful in hitting the Under rather than the Over. Despite the total number being set below 47, suggesting a potential for the Over, I predict a defensive game with lower scoring than the 27-24 game we saw earlier in the season between these two teams.
Both the Bengals and Ravens recently suffered home losses, allowing over 30 points in their respective games. However, both teams are expected to improve defensively and adopt a bend-but-don’t-break style of defense in their upcoming Thursday matchup. This defensive strategy will likely lead to field goal drives that consume valuable time on the clock.
In the 2023 season, five out of nine Bengals games and six out of ten Ravens games have ended with fewer than 47 points. DraftKings is offering a more appealing number for Under bettors, setting the total at 46.5 compared to the 46 offered at FanDuel.
Mitchell Over 36.5 rushing yards (-115 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Keaton Mitchell, a standout in the preseason, is now catching the attention of the Ravens. Head coach John Harbaugh has mentioned that Mitchell could see more playing time on Thursday due to his impressive explosiveness. With just a small chance, Mitchell has the potential to exceed expectations and surpass his rushing total.
In the past two games Mitchell has played, he has accumulated a total of 172 rushing yards on twelve carries. His explosive running style is reminiscent of De’Von Achane earlier in the year. Mitchell has shown that with just a few carries, he is capable of breaking off a big run.
By including a contrarian pro-Ravens prop in our same-game parlay, we increase our chances of winning overall. This specific prop bet on Mitchell’s rushing line is what ultimately convinced us to go with DraftKings over FanDuel, as the odds are slightly better at 36.5 yards compared to 37.5 yards.
